it's a load of pish i'm sorry to say. Since you got it for a fiver I wouldn't complain though that's probs all it's worth anyhow. It promised so much during development then turned into a steaming pile of horseshit when released... kinda like PES2008.

This game has been in development for over 10 years yet it looks like it has been scrapped together within 12 months.

i'll probably not play it now anyway, i have double agent to keep me occupied till pro comes out, plus Forza too.

i'll chalk this off to money badly spent.

On the subject of bargain games I actually really enjoyed playing The Bourne Conspiracy and managed to pick that up for less than a tenner for the 360.

should maybe start a thread on that subject, if there isn't already one. what are the best pre owned or just old games you picked up and were surprised at.

i payed £2 for the original splinter cell a year or so back and couldn't believe how good it actually was, even by current standards at the time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it hard to justify spending £40 on a game nowadays.

Managed to pick up Guitar Hero 5 with a controller AND Guitar Hero 4 AND a Metallica faceplate for £70 from ShopTo, but sent it back as the guitar was that from GH4 (the rip of cunts at Activision) and it makes a horrible click each time you use the strum-bar.

I'm with you guys too.

I'll pay £40 for FIFA upon it's release, but there aren't many other games I'll do that for. I really enjoyed playing the Batman Arkham Asylum demo but I'm not gonna pay £40 for it, I'll wait a while and then get it second hand for about £20 or less, I'm not missing out by waiting.

i havent payed top whack for a game in ages, even when pro 09 came out i got it for £29 from asda.

£40 is just ridiculous for a game, these days it's rare that i will bother to play through a game more than once. i just end up trading it in for less than half of what i payed for it anyway.

i'm not tight with my money though, i spend a fortune on my boys, my gym, my missus... actually probably in that order too, and i think there are many decent games out there that i havent got round to playing yet in the 2 for £20 section

Same here Stott, I earn a decent wage but still refuse to shell out top dollar on a new game 95% of the time, I think it's my age because I never used to think like that :(

I got Shadow of the Colossus a few years ago for a tenner. Not only was it worth the tenner I payed, I consider it one of the best games I've ever played and for that price I considered it more than a bargain - considering the game was only a year or 2 old when I bought it and it wasn't pre-owned either.
