It's a bit of a long process, but it can be done. We'll use Ronaldo as an example.
1. Do a 'Base Copy' of Ronaldo from Brazil's national team and store him on your memory card. Write down his appearance and stats on a piece of paper.
2. Then go to Real Madrid and edit a player that no longer plays for them (or someone that really won't be missed) and change him into Ronaldo. Press confirm.
3. Now go to Inter Milan and change Ronaldo into someone else that now plays for Inter. Most players at this level are in the game somewhere, so just write down there stats and repeat the process. Otherwise look in the 'Player Creation' section here on PESInsight and get it from there.
4. Now go to Brazil's national side. Ronaldo is now the new player you created in Inter. Not good. Now just take your saved Ronaldo and put him back into Brazil over the imposter!
5. All done

Aaah!
But the base copy isn't as good as the original, as can be seen if you try to buy them in Master League. The original player always has a higher value. This could be something to do with 'hidden stats' but not many people know.
My method is to go to edit player, go to Savio of Madrid and edit him till all of his stats are the same as Ronaldo's (which you previously write down).
Then the only problem is the commentary name which can be turned off.
As long as you edit non-national squad players, none of the international teams get messed up. But it also does keep players at their original clubs too.
