Can somebody explain how best to utilise focus points?

for example does have a low focus on a particular skill mean you decrease in that area or just don't increase?e.g. if have stamina at 1 does that mean stamina will pretty much stay the same or will stamina decrease? or if I have it at 10 will that increase be permanent?

how do you set yours?thanks

I try to keep all levels balanced.

So far it has worked out fine.....

Boots are the real stat boosters in this game... training just helps in the long run.

Low focus point on particular area doesn't mean that it will decrease that area. It will still improve that area, but on a slower rate compared to other area that has higher point. Say, you have 5 on shooting, 3 on stamina. Of course your shooting skills will improve faster than your stamina.

Exactly what stats increase with focus on what training, I mean if I want to increase my goalkeepers gkskills, what type of training or items need to be used?

I've been carefully tracking my player progress to figure this out. What I've noticed is...

- Focus points in general have very little effect on training. If you want to see a noticeable effect in one area (e.g. shooting), you really need to crank the focus points up to 9 or 10. Even then, the effect, though noticeable, will not be huge by any means.
- The flip side of this is that having 0 focus points in a particular area isn't a big deal--you'll still develop only slightly slower than if you had 10 focus points in that area.
- Training items like keep uppy ball, mini-goal, etc. have no effect when focus points are low in that area. I can't tell if they have any effect when focus points are high, but if they do, the effect is too small to notice on the progress bars. On the whole, it seems that buying these items is a waste of time and you're much better off saving up for the 500GP items like personal training +5 or skill boost.
