Transferring Option File To PS2 Tutorial

OK one question. I've tried and tried but didn't find answer for this (if you find plese link 
) Well, I have a max drive. And i've unrushed a OF to my memorycard. But...
If I want to update the OF and download the latest version and try to uncrush it to my memcard - it says something like "option file already exists". SO how do I merge the new updates for optionfile i use with max drive.
So, do I need to erase old OF (because then it erases my own edited player data) or is there a way to merge the new one with the old.

I cannot get my (PS2) PES 2009 OF (PES 2009Osave1121046700.xps) to open in the PES 2009 Editor open file dialog box. I can locate the OF which I have in my X-Port saves and sent it desktop. I can't drag it into the editor either from desktop. I put the OF into a folder and still can't get OF to open. Thanks for any help.

I have recenty purchased a max drive and have having the same probem as a previous poster. DGIBSON89:-------
''I have one slight problem...Im not sure if my Max Drive is faulty but i have done exactly what it says in the manual and what it has said on here and when i go to my devices on the PS2 and into the max drive it doesnt bring anything up. The files i have put on are .max files so i dont see how they dont work.
Another thing is that when i go to put things from my memory card onto my max drive, it just keeps telling me that there is insufficient space on the disk. How is that possible when it is completly empty apart from the one .max file i have on it.
Ime not sure if its faulty or not so any help would be appreciated

i have tried it on both a 'fat' ps2 and a sim ps2 and have same problems as poster above. I have aso downoaded several different ps2 option fies and none work. i tried to find the answer to this problem on this forum but couldnt locate it. any help would be greatly appriated.
