Trouble with PES 2009 for Wii

Hey guys! Need some help with PES 2009 for the wii.

How do you play pes 2009 two players? Sounds like a stupid question but I got PES 2009 for the Wii and can't figure out how to play two players on almost all of the modes. On Champions League "competition" mode for example, I select the control style but the next screen only shows P1 and I can't add another player. I hear it's possible but I can't figure it out. This is the case with Champions Road, Master League, League; pretty much everything except Match mode.
