Two Worlds but I found Utopia

I was frustrated a couple a weeks ago with PES (360 dribbling we really need sheilding) individual player fluidity and movement and defending the Messis, Canvani's and Robben's and thought i would give fifa a try. So I downloaded fifa 12 and went ahead and I was so disappointed. The AI was horrible the players don't move or make runs even when u use LB and the passing is atrocious, all players pass at the same speed and level there is no difference.
I must say I will be with Pes even with its flaws and fifa doesn't satisfy my gameplay appetite, Barca doesn't play like Barca and Milan doesnt play like Milan with Ibra at the helm of every play. Every team is the same quite the latter in Pes however. I was frustrated but I am humbled by Pes's attempt at freedom and a vision of realism.

PES Forever.

In my honest opinion, all FIFA demos are crap but the real boxed game feels much more satisfying for some reason

I prefer the actual game as the demo is buggy as you have players colliding on top of each other and players playing where there not supposed to be. Player movement feels natural and better which covers the poor AI

I mean Pes or Fifa

Oh, misunderstood you.

I don't know which to prefer - in the middle.
Both games are frustrating, normally derived from both of the games scripting but their are different elements that let each game down. In terms of realism, PES has to be the winner no doubt because of its great attacking AI and overall AI but a video game shouldn't only rely on its realism, on its fun element and thats were PES fails - it is so frustrating because of the ridiculed passing system and all this passing assistance levels eventhough on 0 it is still assisted and how everything is set out. FIFA's engine feels more free but lacks in-depth AI however you can control the pace of the game as you are in full control of every player.

Hard decision, but eventhough I play PES more, overall its a bit behind FIFA this year

Man I feel you, my biggest gripe with PES are my players being on rails when u make a tru pass and super cancel is not intuitive while with fifa all the players pass the the ball the same. I am so frustrated.

If only there was a way to get them off rails easier than super cancel or mapp super cancel to one button.

1 simple answer. Fifa 12 is garbage and pes 12 could have been great but is riddled with ridiculous bugs.

I have both games and I don't play them because there are way better games out there, however if I had to choose between pes and fifa, i would say PES WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT because fifa is all for eye candy and attracts newcomers because of it's wonderful animations and colour palette, but in reality the gameplay is horrible and the AI is horrendous and it's nothing like football. It only looks the part, but is far from playing it.

Pes has a basic idea of how football is played, but the way pes does things make it look like a ps1 game full of apparent flaws. Pes doesn't know how to hide it's glitches and weak spots like fifa can. But at least, with all it's bugs and stupid things, pes does have an idea of football, fifa doesn't.

That's an excellent point, and probably the main reason for why many gamers are more passionate about the PES franchise than about other games, because it's frustrating to see them fall short year after year, due to stupid glitches and what can only be described as laziness.

Your term "eye candy" is so on point man....I must admit I got caught by Fifa's fancy passing, flair and I must say its awesome animation but then I played PES and the gameplay in comparison to fifa was miles ahead. I now see why Fifa is the highest selling football game cause most who buy it really don't know the game and really if Pes would fix our players being on rails then man, I would be so happy. Its a pity they cant patch that.
