UFC 2009 Undisputed is a mixed martial arts video game featuring Ultimate Fighting Championship properties and fighters currently in development by Yuke's Osaka and to be published by THQ. The game is slated to be released in Spring 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.[2] It is the first game to be released under THQ's 2007 agreement with the UFC, and it is to be the first UFC game released since UFC: Sudden Impact in 2004.

I have to be honest, I'm not a huge UFC fan, nor do I know of too many of the fighters in the game, but I'll definitely be getting it, and a big roster of talent helps.

I've never watched a full UFC event in my life, but I was interested in buying this, until I found out THQ and Yukes were at the reigns.

Actually, hopefully they make an awesome game, WWE get pissy and decide they don't want THQ and Yukes making games for their competition and they move on to a decent developer.

I think Smackdown vs Raw 2010 will be the last WWE game THQ and Yukes make, as their contract with WWE runs out and WWE are not renewing it.

I hope they move on too, I hate THQ but I will be buying this game without hesitation.

Thats good news. They should go back to the Wrestlemania game on the N64 (Or World Tour/Revenge, basically the same)

Oh definitely hope for that. Im sure Shamrock is still active within the MMA ranks still, he was scheduled to fight Lashley.

He was until Shamrock tested positive for steroids!

In the end Lashley fought Jason Guida and won by unamimous decision.

Jason Guida was in the last series of the Ultimate Fighter but got kicked off because he couldn't make weight in the first episode.

The next game they should get the rights to Pride (UFC own them anyway), Affliction Entertainment, and perhaps some of the older Japanese feds like PANCRASE and RINGS, just so they can put anyone who was ever anyone in MMA in a game, and the likes of Fedor.

As mentioned earlier, the demo is out now. It's definitely got great potential, it's obviously limited in styles due to only 2 fighters being available. However it really is fun to play, it does feel great flooring someone with Chuck Liddell, especially when in spectacular fashion.

Shogun went for a high kick on me, and I stepped back to avoid it. As Shogun was still slightly spinning when he put his foot back on the canvas and not looking properly, I threw a high kick of my own to counter and caught him right on the neck - game over. :cool: Fucking amazing.
