My online record is 12-16-0 which is not too bad considering. If anyone wants a few games just send me a message or something. Preferably someone shite (Dale?) so i can actually win for once

Im not ready for online fights against you lot, so Ill need another week or so as Im just getting round to getting subs on. Ive mastered the clinch and striking, which is easiest to do really.

PS: I havent forgot, Hunter. I know I said Id fight you this week, and I will.

Your dead after school.

Ahem.

Ive had six fights tonight, and the record is at 5-1-0. Thats 3 KOs, two tap outs and I was beat on points. Now, Im not just posting this to show how good I have been online tonight, but those three KOs have all been inside the first minute against well ranked fighters... Apart from one, whom you all know well...

Doesnt show the KO because I just missed it by the time I got my phone out.

EDIT: Sorry about the voice and accent :faceplm:

You bastard! I didn't even realise the game had started. I was in the toilet, expecting the opening sequence to be shown. By the time I got back, I saw that I had lost.

Haha. I wish I couldve got the reply of the KO because Im not sure if we had a few digs each before I donged you, or if I hit you once and killed you to death.

I just faked throwing a punch (right hand) online a few minutes ago, and then I threw a left kick instead and knocked out the opponent. Can someone tell me how I feinted the punch? :/

EDIT: Never mind. I got it.

How do you delete threads?

I love the dummy punch. Press RB (R1 for PS3) immediately after pressing a strike button. Time it similarly to a dummy shot in PES.

This could come in handy for me, but Ill probably forget to utilize it when in an online game. I seem to be doing well at subs now so maybe I can use the fient to spring a suprise takedown on my opponent.

Not that it matters with my ferocious KO power, mind you.

Don't keep your finger over RB too long/often, because you'll sometimes accidentally dummy a potentially match-winning strike.

By the way, I don't think you connected until you knocked me out. I got a few counter/step-strikes, went in for one more, then you got me with a deadly counter. I don't think I've lost that quickly before.

The most embarrassing thing is that I lost to someone that actually says "Pwned". :faceplm: I demand a rematch! :duel:

REVENGE

Ill be online some other night this week fighting Hunter so we can get a rematch, no problem mate. I expect him to beat me, but who knows.

In real life I dont actually say 'pwned', I just said it because I thought it would be funny, which I think was a fail. Meh.

BELIEVE
Had a few fights again earlier on today, well, three to be exact, and both went swimmingly well.

For my first fight, my opponent chose Machida, so I chose Forrest. My opponent came out by spamming the fight buttons when close togther, so after a few hits I just took him to the ground where I definitely got the better of him in the first round. I soon defeated him in the second round, after noticing he was somewhat gassed after we rolled about for a bit - I stuck him in a rear naked choke and got the tap. Victory was sweet.

Second match my opponent chose Rampage so I opted this time for Thiago Silva. It was the first time I opted for him, but his stats are decent and I compared them to Rampage's and felt I could get the upper hand. I dominated him and and got the full mount, ultimately smashing him into a knockout win after just 1 minute 27 of the first round. Booyah!

Last fight was slightly more even, he opted for Rashad Evans so I went Thiago Silva again after thoroughly enjoying using him last fight. The stand up was fairly even although I was picking my shots better I feel, and when I managed to take him down I was in control - my transitioning, blocking and reversals are getting slightly better which is nice to know. It went to the second round, until we were both relatively gassed. I went for the kill and locked in the kimora armbar submission and made him tap, such immenseness. The match was quite laggy throughout which was slightly annoying, I even contemplated quitting after a minute or so because it was just frustratingly laggy. I held on though and glad I did as a victory is always pleasant.

My record is slightly more respectable now though:

26 wins
12 losses

I should be on 31 wins mind if it wasn't for the quitters, but out 5 quitters out of 42 fights isn't too bad - I imagine some people have had it way worse than me so I won't groan too much now.

In Pro Evo, old and new, the lag is worse in Ranked than Player - Is this the case with UFC? Becuase Ive had a few Player's that had dodgy lag and I dont want to go Ranked 'till its fixed.

That, and the whole DNF thing.

I've not noticed anything to be totally honest. Out of the 42 Ranked fights I've competed in, I'd say only around 3-5 have been laggy, but still playable. I can't see there being any difference between Ranked and Player connections, I think it's just Konami's online incompetence.

I still haven't played online since last time. But reading a few of these stories here is making me wanna get back in there! The patch (if it is on time) is a few days away, so I'll wait it out, just incase the records are reset. It is only a game but, it'd do my head in to build up a solid record, and fairly, then see it scrapped. It's bad enough to lose my current record as it is, should it occur.

I could be utilising Player Matches, I suppose. But I prefer Ranked Matches, win, lose, or draw. They've got that added pressure and attention to detail in ones gameplan.

Aye, Ill be waiting it out too before I start the Ranked Matches. If it actually is a few days away, then I can get in some practice beforehand.

I had two good fights with Hunter yesterday, which ended one-a-piece.

EDIT: And the man is very good at it.

From what I read about a week ago, the patch is still weeks away. The actual patch itself has been completed I believe, but it takes weeks for it to be "cleared" by the gaming board of some sort and then released to the public. I'd be surprised if it's only a matter of days away. My online record is pretty decent to be honest, it's something like 32 wins and 14 losses, but I would still very much welcome a fresh start. I reckon I could definitely better that record if I was to start again, plus everyone would know each other's genuine statistics as opposed to them being worthless as is the case at the moment.

Exactly, I tend to solely play Ranked matches because there is that extra sense of competition and edge that you don't tend to "feel" in Player matches. Although I think I might just start playing Player matches a hell of a lot, mainly to hone my skills as much as possible though.

Ive had six fights tonight, even though I said I wont be going online because I have no skin on the palm of my right hand, and Ive lost two by KO and won four, submission, decision and two knockouts.

My approach in fights is what has kept me winning and obviously is the reason why I only have a few defeats. I enjoy taking 'the picking you off' tactic in most fights.

I love this game.

Yeah, this game is great. I bought it last week. Just played Charlie online and he KO'd me in round 2. Good fight, though. He was GSP and I took control of Diego Sanchez. He pretty much owned me with his takedowns, though.

So you use the spinning R-stick technique over button-bashing? Or does it depend on the fighter you're using? I tend to go for button-bashing over the former, because I find the spinning technique seems to take longer to escape from submission, therefore tiring the fighter more. However, I don't really take into consideration the fighters' styles. I'm sure it's better to spin the R-stick if you have a good grappler/submission defence, so I'll look in to that.

I seem to only do it with wrestlers to be honest, I suppose it can be better to use the bashing style, but I mostly spin the RS fast, anti-clockwise so I seem to break free rather quickly.

I dont mind a bit of pain, it just means Im doing it right.

Whens this patch out anyway?
