Unfair? LOL. Videogame and electronics companies aren't run by the United Nations or Amnesty International, dude. They're businesses. Now, whether it's a smart business practice to release a demo or a game in Europe and not release it in the US at the same time, well, that's open to debate. But they have their reasons, and I can assure you, their reasons are based on what they believe is best for their business, and not based on what is fair to you and all the other Veruca Salts of the world who think you're entitled to get exactly what you want, right now. Grow up.

They clearly don't know what is best for their business. Delaying a game while your competitor eats up the market is not what's best for their business. Whatever reasons they have are misguided at best. This is not debatable.

Spoiled brat? Seriously? You sound like a f*cking moron. Fifa 11 is coming out earlier in the states but the UK got the demo the same day.

That's because EA is a much bigger company that Konami, with a lot more money to spend on marketing. Soccer is not nearly as popular a sport here in the US as it is in the UK and the rest of Europe. And yet, FIFA is more universally known than PES among people in the US, mostly due to EA's enormous marketing budget, and the fact that they make so many other sports games that sell well here in the States. A lot of casual gamers here have never even heard of PES, and yet I guarantee they've all heard of FIFA.

I won't stoop to your level and respond to your "f*cking moron" comment. I'll let our respective posts speak for themselves.

Okay Man no one wants to see an Essay, You don't work for konami and you"re not a business man so why don't you cork it for a min and think before you type, and btw FIFA sucks so I won't be buying that horrendous game and Konami isnt making any new fans in the US by Delaying their demo in America if they had released it the same day as FIFA I guarantee any true Football fan would gladly wait to buy pes but of course like Konami the dumb fucks they are they dont see that

How did this turn into a FIFA sucks argument? I'm not defending FIFA, I hate that game. But that doesn't change the fact that it has a much larger audience amongst casual gamers who don't know the ins and outs of football. You're absolutely right. If Konami marketed their game better in the US, true football fans would more than likely choose PES over FIFA.

And how the f*ck do you know I'm not a businessman? You don't know anything about me. On the other hand, based on your mouth-breathing comments, I can make a pretty educated guess about the kind of person you are.

BloodyYank is right in just about everything he has said so far. This happens every year though and the Americans of the website (or the majority of them) tend to become outraged and start swearing and becoming aggressive, as if it will ever be justifiable.

I think someone may have even mentioned it earlier in this thread, but with EA being such a big company financially, it's almost certain that they've blocked an earlier release for the PES demo in the US, just so people are forced to play the FIFA demos, ultimately ruling out other competition. The bottom line is Konami don't have the financial muscle to go head to head with EA in the promotion and 'bribing' department, so they just have to let the game speak for itself.

PS: Swearing is allowed, but racism isn't. And definitely not towards the franchise that without them, this site wouldn't exist, and you wouldn't even have anything to complain about.

What? How is this almost certain?

Gamestop in the the US says Oct. 19, which is 11 days after the UK release, so not too bad in comparison to most years. If I were to order the UK version, I'd get it around the same time anyway -- although I still may get the PC version seeing that it is cheaper.

it's just extremely annoying that we can't play the demo the same day as everyone else and still to this day are unable to play it. it's aggravating to see peoples' feedback of the demo when i can't play it myself just because of where i live.

I agree. Also, saying Konami don't have the marketing prowess or money isn't a valid argument. Releasing a demo at a certain date doesn't take marketing prowess or money.
