The Finnish league (Veikkausliiga) season just ended last month, so this option file is made with end of season teams. I shared it last month for the futisforum2.org -site (free login is required to see the gaming section). In that version there's some extra content like missing Finnish national team players and more information about the option file. This option file is for PS4, but some have downloaded it to PC and apparently it works. BandW has made the kit images (71 / 2048x2048) and sponsor images. The top tier of Finland Veikkausliiga actually has only 12 teams at the moment (there has been some changes in recent years), while the minimum number of teams for PEU League is 14, so there is four extra teams from the second tier Ykkönen to get to at least 14 teams. Two of those four teams AC Oulu and KTP were promoted for next season that begins in April 2021. The other two are VPS and KPV, they were relegated from Veikkausliiga after the 2019 season, it is possible to download a couple of Other European Leagues teams instead of these two. League table for the 2020 season in Transfermarkt. HJK is the only Finnish team to have played in the UCL group stage (1998-99) or in the UEL group stage (2014-15).

Here is a link to just three (48/71) 2048-kits per team (MediaFire), probably useful in the case, if there isn't enough space in the game folder for 2048-kits. You can just replace the "Peliasut (BandW) 1120"-folder that is in the WEPES-folder and import the teams after that.

How to download and use:
- Move WEPES-folder to USB, that is formated to FAT or exFAT (suitable for PS4).
- In the game go to Edit / Import Team / Apply player and squad data & Overwriting image files of the same name.
- TED team files should put the images from the WEPES-folder where they belong in game.
- If a TED team file is doubled during the import, then you should ignore the ._ teams (MAC-problem)
- If there is _MACOSX-folder with the OF, it should also be ignored. I didn't make it.
- Import Competitions: Veikkausliiga, Suomen Cup & Super Cup. (Settings can be checked from the PDF that is in the OF-folder.)
- Teams have to be set manually through Competition Structure between Veikkausliiga and Other European Leagues, choose PEU League/Veikkausliiga Draw Size to be 14 or 16 and move teams between Other European Leagues and Veikkausliiga.
- In local matches Live Update must be set to OFF (press R3 when you choose the teams).
- In 2 player matches Edit data must be accepted for the sub account.

Veikkausliiga-teams use all the PEU League base players (ID) that were not used by CYPES. So only version 1.0 (of those Bundesliga OF teams that are in the above picture) is compatible and you should only download this OF as a complete package. Also because this is a combination of different option files with the Other European Leagues teams, there are some rival clubs in the teams above, that should not be there. It can be fixed in the team-section of edit.

I would like to get more feedback for this option file. The main reason for this post to PESGaming is to raise awareness of this OF. I have seen some feedback where some OF-downloaders haven't come across a Veikkausliiga OF anywhere else outside of FF2 (where I have been posting for years) and some have bought the game just because of these Veikkausliiga option files. That's obviously delightful and hopefully even more people can enjoy playing PES in the future.

To be honest, I don’t use FM for player stats often. I just watch a lot of Finnish football. I have seen every player, that is in this OF, on the field. With new players I check transfermarkt stats, watch highlights (Youtube / https://www.palloliitto.fi/videot/jalkapallosarjat) and then full matches.

Sometimes (rarely) new Veikkausliiga players are in PES Master (Game database), but especially the older stats are always too highly rated for Veikkausliiga. Also PES Master stats are not always that accurate. Only five players in this OF were originally in PES 2021 and a few were in the previous games. I compare my player stats with the Finnish national team players and within the league. When I create new players for Veikkausliiga, I always pick 2-4 similar players as comparison.

Next season I’ll see even more Ykkönen matches because of the relegation of my team RoPS. That will surely help with updating teams from Ykkönen. (TPS is the other Veikkausliiga team that was relegated after the 2020 season.)

New Veikkausliiga OF (with 16 teams) for the next season (April —>) usually isn’t quite ready at the start of the season, because there is always several players who sign for their new clubs after the Suomen Cup (played from February onwards).

If someone is interested in giving feedback on the player stats or otherwise helping with the OF for the next game, then contact me here or on the FF2-forum. We need more kit-makers to keep them updated. Or alternatively, if someone is interested in creating appearances/faces for next game’s teams, it would be very helpful. This is a big project every year.

New Veikkausliiga Option File for the 2021 season is almost ready to be shared, I'll make a new post for that later. The new season started last month, the league season is played over the summer in Finland. For the OF we have two kit-makers now as alex97 has joined BandW.

The league season is played over the summer in Finland (from April onwards). Veikkausliiga 2021 OF was updated from the 2020 OF (link at the bottom of the post), that was published last year. This 2021 OF doesn't need the last one to work. I have moved players in the league according to transfers. There is about 110 completely new players compared to the last season's OF. Firstly I created them as created players, then I moved them with base copy over players that left the league during winter's off-season. This way there won't be doubling created players in the OF. (Using base copy messes up old Master League saves in Veikkausliiga, you should finish the last one before downloading this.) Additionally there's over 10 players that were in the game already, these were edited to fit the OF better. Players like Rodrigo Arciero and Urho Nissilä. Some were added through Live Update to the game, I changed the base player in those cases where the player was already in the last OF. I posted this Veikkausliiga 2021 OF just over a week ago on ff2. Compared to that one, Liechtenstein national team player Dennis Salanović was added to AC Oulu by me. Also some other teams got minor changes. I changed the KTP-manager to the caretaker manager Gabri Xatart. Veikkausliiga 2021 OF should work on PS4 and PS5, some have downloaded it also to PC.

It's possible to download CSKA Sofia and HNK Rijeka (Other European Leagues) instead of VPS and KPV (from second tier Ykkönen). This MediaFire-link is only for those downloaders, that want to download 14 teams in Veikkausliiga (instead of the full 16 teams). While updating this OF for the 2021 season, I moved base players inside the Finnish league according to their transfers (and forgot about the option of downloading just 14 teams). These former VPS- and KPV-players (who still are in Veikkausliiga) are not compatible with the alternative teams (CSKA Sofia & HNK Rijeka). So here they're as created players in Thai League. You can move them back to their teams (Ilves, KTP, AC Oulu, TPS & RoPS) through edit/transfers.

This is the updated Veikkausliiga Option File 1021 for the 2021 season. The original OF for the 2021 season is in the post #7 of this thread, that also includes the downloading instuctions. I published this updated OF on the ff2.fi-site last week, that post includes instructions in Finnish. Direct link to FF2-OF is in my AllMyLinks (Link). Free login is required, if you want to see the gaming-section of FF2. I also wrote some tips there for the PES-gameplay and Master League.

For this Option File I updated almost every team's tactics according to the current season. I also went through the skill-cards of Veikkausliiga-players and dropped some of them so they would have bigger effect between players on the field. Compared to the last Option File tens of players of that OF have been updated with new stats and appearances. The Finnish national team player Pyry Soiri, who will transfer to HJK when the window opens again in January, is already in HJK. The deal wasn't quite made in time for this transfer window.

I made a couple of videos to showcase these new Veikkausliiga-players. Totally new players and those who transferred to Veikkausliiga from abroad were included. The difference between these videos is that the PC-version is wider and when I show the star-ratings of all 16 teams, it also shows all of the Veikkausliiga-players in the end (well except some HJK-players with their team of over 32 players). This time you can also see almost all of the home kits in the video (made by BandW and alex97). While making the video, it required a bit of editing in iMovie to cut out all of the scrolling in edit-mode, but I think it's a better video this way as it shortened the video's runtime considerably (from almost 10 minutes to 3:28). I also noticed a setting when exporting the video from iMovie and got the video to 720p.

Downloading instruction for PC gamers. Drop downloaded content here: Tiedostot -> KONAMI -> eFootball PES 2021 -> WEPES. Then it can be imported in the edit-mode of PES 2021. The other download instructions are in the post #7 of this thread.

Veikkausliiga actually has only 12 teams. The league is played over the summer (April-October). After 22 matches Veikkausliiga was just divided to two groups of six teams (end of September), who will now play a single series of matches against each other in the coming weeks. The last team in the Veikkausliiga table will be relegated to the second tier Ykkönen. The winner of Ykkönen will be promoted to Veikkausliiga and quite expectedly three of the Ykkönen teams that are in this Option File are now playing for the top two places. KPV had a disappointing season and didn't manage to challenge for promotion (despite their second biggest player budget). The second place in Ykkönen is significant, because in November there will be a two-leg play-off for the last spot in the 2022 Veikkausliiga season. This is played between the second last team in Veikkausliiga and the Ykkönen runner-up.

The new HIFK-striker Kei Kamara and his heart shaped hands goal celebration. Kamara's foundation for Sierra Leone is named after it. He's one of the players who moved to Veikkausliiga in the summer transfer window. He moved here to be ready for the Africa Cup of Nations in January 2022. Kamara is the fifth best goalscorer in the history of MLS and a former English Premier League player (Norwich City FC). A great signing for HIFK, who managed a top six finish in the regular season thanks to Kamara's five goals in his first nine Veikkausliiga-games. Two of those goals were scored against the reigning champion HJK, who are also their capital city rivals in Helsinki. HJK is still the only team who have qualified for the European group stages (UCL 1998/99, UEL 2014/15 and UECL 2021/22). This season they're in the new UEFA Europa Conference League. With these stats Kei Kamara (72) is the best striker in Veikkausliiga. The best player in the league by his overall rating is Finland's national team captain Tim Sparv (75), who returned back to Finland in this transfer window with his transfer to HJK. The current Veikkausliiga leader and this season's Cup champion KuPS reached the UECL Play-off in this season's qualifiers, but in the end German team Union Berlin was too strong for them.

Yes, if it's possible. The edit mode isn't yet published in the eFootball 2022 game, so I can't start working on it right away and it will probably take around two months after that to complete. Hopefully the edit mode is improved, so Veikkausliiga can be more realistic. For example playing the league over the summer like in the MLS (PEU League doesn't allow that at the moment) and with 12-teams draw size, that divides to two groups after playing everyone twice (this is also in other leagues already). I'm still waiting Konami fixes the 'physical defending' tackles, before moving on from PES 2021 myself. It's a great idea, I have been waiting for that kind of command.

This option file also includes KPV and RoPS, which are not finished, they can be moved to Other European Leagues, if you already have them in the game. I'll update them later. (The league season is played over the summer in Finland from April to November.)

I ended up updating the option file in PES 2021 as eFootball 2022 doesn't support them yet. There's 90 new players compared to last season. 16 of those were already in the game, but are now edited. I replaced some players from the last option file with base copy, so that there wouldn't be any problems with them doubling as created players. Everything is explained in the PDF-files that are with the option file.
