W!ld@ Editor question regarding Data Pack option

Judging by the lack of response to the questions on this part of the forum I'm guessing that this question will not be answered but I will ask anyway.

There is an option in W!ld@ Editor that allows you to change the Data Pack number. Does anybody know what that does? Does it make the option file being worked on compatible regardless of what Data Pack is installed on the PS3?

Thanks

If it works in the same way as it did with PC then you must choose the datapack version correctly, otherwise the saved game won't match the game files and it will be overwritten (if it even opens).

Hi Rebelinho, thanks for the quick reply. :)

That's a shame I was hoping that by selecting a different data pack it would somehow make the option file compatible with that version :(

I'm fine because I have the updated one anyway but my brother has just recently bought 2013 and he is not able to install the latest datapack. So he cannot use up to date option files.

I tried using the download mentioned in post 10 of this post http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=98638 but it didn't work.

Do you happen to know if there is a way around this?

Thanks for all your help, I wish I got into 2013 when it first came out because it would have saved all this searching now :)

The editor has that feature IIRC, I'll have a look and post it here.

Why can't your brother install the latest databack?

Alright, maybe it was what you were already doing but to change the DLC version of your save to match your brother's game just...

1. Open the editor and load the edit.bin you want to change.
2. On the top left press "File", go down to "Change DLC version" and choose the one shown in your brother's game.

It should be enough. Good luck!

I haven't actually tried that myself in case it ruined the file I was working on. I will make a back up copy of my file and then give it a go.

I won't see him for a few weeks to test it but I definitely let you know if it works or not.

Thank you so much for your help it is really appreciated. I've searched all different forums for the answer to my question so I'm pleased you have been able to answer it.

:)
