If you are downloading the original Japanese unpatched un modded version then in theory you should be okay but you never really know what version or state the game may be in when you download.

Would be frowned upon by a few i thinketh.....

Buy the original an then patch it for fun!

Patch is great, but is there a posibility to just patch everything except audio? While using DkZ Studio i patched everything excpet 0_SOUND.afs and WE10_OP.pss, but when i enter "Edit Mode" a song start playing and not the original music.

No, forgot to mention i did nothing to that .afs also. I get all the original music except on edit menu, at least thats the only place i know is different. I applied the My Music Patch to another .iso and also plays the same music.

Well i found the music file i was looking for inside 0_TEXT.afs, only .adx file there.

Now is there a thread that specify the changes that are made on these .afs files. Like what files are being patched. Would like to change the main menu back as the original as well the default ball used, the world cup one, from gold to black like it was.

1) Clean iso ripped to PC with dvddecrpyter

2) patch with Fernando_we10_english_v4beta2

3) Extract ISO with Apache

4) DKZ Studio 0.91/update it to 0.92

5) opened "MyMy Mix v2.dkz" then go "apply patch to folder"
( i uncheck SLPM_663.74 according to tyrvas/ayalove1004)
do u guy have to manually locate each files ??

6) opened "MyMy Mix v2.3 Update" then go "apply patch to folder"
(this time i ticked SLPM_663.74 according to tyrvas)

7) Add (& replace) J_SOUND.AFS(English Commentary)

8) Apply in Folder "MyMy Cup Announces + Team Call Names v3"

9) Open CD_DVD-ROM Generator 1.50 /Creat New /DVD Master Disc / Place the file as follow

10) DkZ Studio has an ISO Maker tool (iml compatible);
run DkZ Studio, press CTRL+I.

click the 'tools' tab, in drop down menu select
& click ISO Maker (Create ISO images) option.

11) tried burning with Alcohol/Nero/dvdDecrypter 2x/1x speed

i wasted 7 dvds T_T..
do i need a dummy file ?? i just get dvd/mem card screen

did u finally got it to work after u put in Volume WE 10 ??? did u put dummy file ?? and did ur dvd worked on ps2 with like 1.x gb?

can anyone tell me when they upload their OptionFile do they have 2 datas ?? or one ?? because when i upload to the Memory Card therer is 1 good file and 1 currupted file. Is that Correct ??

after making a few coasters i finally got this working, but i'm having trouble uploading the option file. i try booting the cd (which was created according to the guide linked to in the original post) and it says "welcome to ps2menu, loading... please wait" but just sits there. any ideas?

also i noticed many kits were still the original we ones, would the option file change this or is it supposed to be proper kits anyway after patching the dvd?

Option File

Hi everyone,
I can't get the option file to work. I copy this option file:

"MyMy Mix v2.3.max"

onto my AR Max. Then I uncrush it to my memory card. The game won't recognize it. Furthermore, I can see it in the game's memory manager where you can delete or copy files. But it won't actually load it to use it. Am I doing something wrong? Since there are no instructions, I assumed that you just copy the MAX option file over to the memory card like any other save.

This is driving me crazy so if someone can help I'd really appreciate it. I'm sooo close!

Hi again,

So, I tried my other memory card which happens to be made by another manufacturer. Option file worked!

Is it possible that the game doesn't like certain memory cards and prefers others?? I've never seen or heard of this ever, but it obviously is possible.

Anyway... any thoughts on what happened to me here??

same thing happended to me but you shold try another ps2menu.elf and try it on a different memory card

The game loads all the way upto the JFA MAX logo screen and then POOF nothing. A blank screen to stare at which reflects my puzzled look as i went through all these pages looking at the different errors & things not to do and after a lot of tip-toeing around figured that i had managed to not muggle it up but it seems that i have...any help....anybody ???
