Hey, just open your we9 image with your DKZ Studio or Afs extractor or Afs Explorer, insert the J_Sound.afs into image and burn

Yes, is not the same size, but u r allow to put it over the original j_sound becouse it has a maximum space of 460 Mb, and the j_sound patched is only of 370 mb

does this sound patch works with fernando patch??

keep up the great job!!

I think it should, as I just did the following...

1. Used DVD Decrypter to make a clean ISO of WE9.

2. Opened WE9 ISO with DkZ Studio.

3. Imported english commentaries 'J_SOUND'...

OK, if done correctly your WE9 ISO should be modified
with the imported 'J_SOUND' file, not the original one.
NOTE: original 'J_SOUND' file is 466,158 KB
english commentaries 'J_SOUND' is 335,872 KB

4. Closed DkZ Studio.

5. Opened modified WE9 ISO and Sunjun's beta patch with ppf-o-matic v3.0.

6. Applied patch.

7. Burned with DVD Decrypter @ speed x1.

8. Just tested and it works quite well, some commented names still
remain in japanese but it ain't that bad as the names are the real ones.

Hi,

It seems like I wasn't the only one wanting an English commentary patch for WE9 ;) You asked for it and you got it...

This is the original English commentary from WE8LE...

In this version, I left some of the team and player call names in japanese for completeness sake. The majority is in English but for those that I didn't have an English version I left it in Japanese. Occasionally you can hear the japanese guy calling the names. Go ahead and check it out if you think that you want all English even if it means less then I will make another version later. Do let me know what you think...

I did this for fun, please respect the creator of this patch and do not sell this and do not share without given proper credit to the original creators of the patch.

Here is how to install - Easier method - Thanks to techmob:

-Create an ISO from your original WE9 dvd game using dvd decrypter. If you already have an iso image on your computer skip this bit

a) Put your Original WE9 dvd in your PC dvd drive
b) Open DVD Decrypter, go to MODE /ISO / Read
c) Choose your destination folder eg WE9
d) Press the go button (dvd->Harddrive symbol)

once that is done

-open DKZ studio, if you havn't got it then get it... use the search button on this forum or google it..
-click File in the top left hand corner and click Open A File then locate the iso that you created. it will load the contents of the iso in the right hand pane
-now click Edit and click Import Files in the current folder-
Now locate the WE9_English_Commentary_Patch_v1.0_J_SOUND folder
-It should transfer the patch into the iso.. wait until it has finished
-Now you are ready to burn your patched ISO image

Here is another method to install the patch.

1. Create an iso file of the game
2. Optional: Apply other patches as you wish (Fernado's translation patch - no brainer)
3. Extract the files to a temporary directory using isobuster.
4. Right-click the ISO folderin isobuster and save the relative file list to the esam directory as in step 3.
5. Overwrite J_SOUND.AFS file in the directory
6. Open CDGEN_PS2 program and load the filelist (no lba option)
7. Change the VOLUME NAME TO "SLPM_660.09"
8. Generate the iso file and burn it at a slow speed or transfer it to your HD.

ENJOY.

I understand that some people wants to know how I did it. Unfortunately it is not straight forward. I do however intend to share the information as much as possible for other hackers. For now I would like concantrate on getting people a good commentary :)

Need Mirrors - Thanks.

Torrent link (Please SEED) : WE9 English Commentary Torrent Link

Thanks to techmob - PLEASE PROVIDE MIRRORS: WE9 English Commentary Link - DEAD!!!

...yes that is correct when viewing it in DKZ studio...

...now insert your original WE9 dvd in PC dvd drive,
explore DVD with windows, check J_SOUND size...

...do the same with your modified WE9 dvd....

...what do you see ?...

...I bet you see the following...

Original WE9 DVD 'J_SOUND' file is 466,158 KB

Modified WE9 with english commentaries 'J_SOUND' file is 335,872 KB

hope this clears any doubts. ;)

thats the way i will do it..use isobuster to replace the file but you do not need to create an iso again out of it..you can burn the files from the folder you created as an udf/iso compilation as long as you place them into nero in the same order they were shown in isobuster..burn and it will work..
