FIFA 17, completed The Journey (well as far as you can go on EA Access) but overall it's literally FIFA 16 with slightly better graphics. So boring...

Started playing Forza 6 Apex. I'm shit at racing sims. Trying to learn how to take corners. I much prefer arcade style racers with drifting. Feels good getting a perfect corner though. ..

There is a golden rule that pretty much applies to all non-super-arcade games. Braking while turning is useless, as it equals understeer. Brake with plenty of margin, and while you progress with the laps add more and more late braking. Then it's just a matter of finding the apex and keeping speed with the throttle, accelerating only after the apex is gone and, of course, gradually.

If you can try GTR2. It has a training mode that I really liked the first time I tried it.

Nearing the end of Tales of Zestiria and sampled the delights of 4K at 60fps for the first time today, it looked fantastic (even if the game is not the most visually impressive). The resolution boost and colour improvemnts of a 4K TV set are easy to see.

Just FIFA 17. I've been meaning to get back to Black Flag; I think I'm only about half way through. I want to finish that before moving on to Arkham Knight, which I've already bought!

Finished Tales of Zestiria last night, 40 hours of gameplay for £6, not bad imo. Now I'm itching for more action JRPG shit, but don't have any. Might just start The Evil Within or Resident Evil Revelations 2 seeing as it's nearly Halloween.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness - Started this. Action RPG, combat isn't quite as good as Tales of Zestiria, hoping it grows on me a bit more. Presentation is nice though.

Resident Evil Revelations 2

Pretty certain I'm about 15 minutes from the end of the main campaign. Excellent game. First 2 episodes very good, episode 3 was just fantastic and episode 4 has kept up the quality. Luckily I have two bonus episodes to play afterwards as well (due to getting the complete retail edition).

Raid mode is, as ever, an excellent distraction from the main game.

Mafia 3

Finished this the other day. Although it suffers from a repetitive mission structure, I did enjoy it... a 7/10 game for me. Story, acting and cutscenes were very good. There's supposed to be DLC for it at some point (there's a season pass afterall), which I may purchase if it's on sale.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Gameplay is pretty much identical to the last one, from what I've played so far. But it's fun, although the shooting lacks a bit of "punch", especially when played alongside Mafia 3.

Farenheit

Played it back on PS2. I almost forgot how silly the plot went. I completed it on the highest difficulty and some of the QTE's were are right pain in the arse. In some cases you're just pressing a series of random directions that don't particularly relate to the on screen actions. At least that's one are where the Quantic Dream games have improved.

Deadly Tower of Monsters

Finished it a little while ago, cleaned up the trophies this weekend. It's fun game, and it's free for ps+ members at the moment. I'd recommend it.

I finished Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, today. Despite the ending feeling a bit abrupt and underwhelming, and the gameplay starting to become repetitive, I thought it was decent. Sailing and the ship battles were the aspects of the game that I found most enjoyable. Unfortunately, I didn't get round to getting the elite upgrades for my ship, so never beat any of the legendary ships. I might try Syndicate one day, but can't imagine it being anytime soon.

I downloaded Everybody's Gone To The Rapture from the PS+ monthly list and also installed the updates for Batman: Arkham Knight. Those will be the next two to play.

I played the shit out of Test Drive Unlimited. I found it around 2007 and it was, simply put, the best game ever at my eyes. The freedom, the modding, the community. It was awesome. When Test Drive Unlimited 2 came out I couldn't run it, and sadly the reviews were not the best. People said it felt artificial, the driving was even worse, and apart from the weather new additions were more like gimmicks.

Well now I can run it and I've put over 600 km in my Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione in just 2 days. The graphics are beautiful. Not the most realistic, but just incredible to look at. Weather is great, those thunderstorms are breathtaking at times. With the UP0.4 and AutoPack 1.73 bugs are sorted out and the car list features over 140 cars. Story is quite rubbish bit gives you a sense of progression the other game lacked. And the wrecked cars, photo spots and so on bring a welcome addition of discovery to the game, not the mention the two full islands (Ibiza and Hawaii).

I tried the Forza Horizon 3 demo. It's a great game. But it's too demanding, takes too much disk space, and the full version is crazily expensive. TDU2 took that same idea and while not being as good as Forza, it certainly is more than good enough for me to enjoy.

I think I have Black Flag but haven't got round to playing it yet. I like the Assassin's Creed games but I find that after playing a Ubisoft game I need a break before starting another. I downloaded Everybody's Gone To The Rapture too so you'll have to let me know if it's any good. Also Ali 7/10 is generous for Mafia 3. It started off well and I enjoyed the way the story was told but the repetitive misssions, the bugs and glitches, the pointless police and the rubbish graphics really annoyed me throughout.

Phatmann - each to their own. As I've said, I've experienced very few glitches or bugs, and the graphics weren't that bad IMO, aside from the rear view mirror image... which I never looked at anyway.

BTW, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is ok if you're in the mood for something with a much much slower pace, but of the two PS4 PS+ games this month, TDToM is more enjoyable.

X-Com: Enemy Unknown - Felt like playing a sci-fi tactics game, and this was on offer. Played a few missions, seems enjoyable

Life is Strange - Part way through episode one. Really liking the presentation of this. Not too hipstery so far.

I think the fact I like the main character will mean I overlook a lot of the hipster shit she does (such as vintage cameras etc)

Batman: Arkham Knight
I got this in November, but only started it a couple of weeks ago. The delay was partly because I was playing another game, but also partly because of buyers remorse, before even removing the cellophane. I'm not sure why I was reticent, because I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I was supposed to be rotating between this and Life Is Strange, but I'm hooked.

I enjoyed Asylum and City (I didn't play Origins), but this is probably my favourite of the three. The combat is system may be simple and hasn't progressed much over the series, but it's satisfying. I remember reading complaints about driving the bat mobile, but I'm happy with it - I'm not sure if that's to do with patches over time. I like how Joker is incorporated into the story. I don't usually notice scores in games, but this one's great (currently listening to it at work).

I'm looking forward to completing this.

Resident Evil 7 - :poorchoice:

Tense stuff, but very good. I'm constantly running back to save points because i'm a chicken and don't want to do things more than once!
