What Do You Want In PES16?

luketu - I agree with you on most points, but I actually think the crossing is pretty good. Headers on the other hand....

You make a good point about ML stats. I'm sure you used to be able to see the goals/assists records from previous seasons in older games??

Crossing is great, but so much different from PES2013 it is a shock in the begining. And for me this is the best game for headers since... ever. How do you dislike headers?

The ML records from previous seaons would be the easiest thing to do, and one of the biggest improvements possible. We've been asking for this for so long...

I see that the Stamina gauge dips quickly, but i'm not sure if the sapped energy has that great of an affect. I wouldn't want an overhaul here. Better than FIFA where stamina means nothing.

Agreed, but it is overdone. Unless the player in in red form, or has over 90 in Stamina, he's dead tired after 60/70 minutes.

Fluid formations is genius btw. for some teams i don't alter possession / out of possession that much, but a lovely add for the teams i choose to do so.

It's that bit more realistic, but it is so important it makes a huge difference when playing.

up the CPU fouls
down the human fouls

aka "Fix the fucking referee"

Will some game, any game, allow us to choose a header or foot on the volley, please.

I've been dreaming of this for so many years I've almost gave up on it. Kinda like HF3

90% of the time they seem to go wide, and 50% not even in the same direction I'm aiming!

This one is for the PC Version. Let us make our own leagues and teams without having to alter the fakes already in game. I bet the community (thats us) can pretty much make every league in the world worth making. EA can take their licenses and shove it up their #$%#.

EA tried (and succeded) to stop KONAMI from inserting tools, inside and/or outside the game, that would made possible to mod the game to resemble real life and therefore go against licensing exclusivity imposed by EA.

We were suposed to have a full stadium editor for PES2014, like a Blender or ZModeler based tool. What did we got? No rain :realmad:

I don't demand a really good, full features editor for every single team, stadium, league, etc. And the ability to add new teams or leagues is a bit too difficult to get. But I don't want to lose what we already had in the previous games (PES2013 had a stadium editor and creator, PES6 let us edit boots for gods sake).

That's strange, I can do pretty much whatever I want when heading the ball, given the player is at least decent in it (Minandinho is great, Kane is decent, Pellè isn't). But took a while for me to notice, in corners, that when I thought I was aiming to place A, I was still aiming in the curling direction when I took the corner, this is, place B.

I have been playing with a created lower level U.S. division. Players mostly in the 55-65 overall rating category accompanied with low ratings for lofted pass. Suddenly, all my crosses are on spot.

I now believe it is the typical AI sabotage given by the team you are playing against.

On the graphics side of things i'd like to see better animations for shots/headers inside the box it looks gammy at times...same goes for penalty kicks as they are truly awful. Also ball physics needs to be improved imo too they're not quite fully right yet.

:realmad:It sure be nice to have entrance cutscene back for 360 and ps3, dont think I'll be moving to nxt gen (maybe next year). I miss that feeling it gives you right before the game, the atmosphere. :realmad: :realmad:

Headers are crap, when you try to aim it ALWAYS goes wide no matter how close you are. Tips anyone on how to score headers?

Sort out the international fixtures, realistically you cannot play an official game less than 48 hours after your last fixture.

Give us more control when fixturing off-season friendlies, two for me is not enough and needs to be a mix of home and away games, Its a great opportunity to integrate your new signings to the team.

I'd also like more fouls from the AI and less yellow for every foul I commit.

Overall there are so many issues and quite frankly if I were to list them all it'd take forever.

Player switching is by far the most irksome aspect of the game. Every match I'm yelling "Just switch to the guy nearest (or ON!!!) the ball, f&*k!!!" at least 3-4 times.

Most of all, I want to see the pressurise removed when holding A/X and replaced with just a manual tackle when I tap it. The main reason being I want full manual control of that tackle pressurise does automatically, as its up to the whim of the AI as it is now(always has) if it thinks its the right time to tackle or not, which the AI doesn't time properly or even do alot of the time when you hold it. I only press it now when I want to actually make a tackle, and just tap it. Works alot better, almost as if its manual but not quite either, especially on Superstar level which I've only gone back up to. Works great on top player, though not perfect either.

Holding A/X by itself to pressurise is pointless anyway. Your player jogs slowly and is easily beaten. Pressurise my ass, it does nothing like as its name states. It pressurises fine when you hold sprint aswell, but the tackle is still the same automatic crap that the AI is very bad at pulling off at the right time or even at all sometimes if it considers your not in the right position to do it. Closing down players manually with jockeying and sprint is way more accurate as you have full control over how quick and what angle you close down at. Its actually great. Now if I could just have manual control of the auto tackle. Does nobody else find holding A/X or sprint and A/X as pretty bad or at least very flawed because of how bad the AI is with auto tackle? Surely! You would think having the AI assistance here is a help, but its not. Its a hindrance because its bad at doing its job.

I know full manual control would be far superior, as I know there are so many tackles I could have made if I had control over the tackle and not the AI. I've proved it to myself also by only using A/X as if its a manual tackle on Top player, by just tapping it only when I wanted to make the tackle. The amount of tackles I started making, and angles at which I tackled the attacker, compared to holding A/X was way, way better(and totally satisfying as I was timing it), but still flawed at times if it does it or not.

Full manual control Konami, and then we'll have an incredible defensive system!

A (Somewhat) Adaptable AI

Something that would be cool would be to have the CPU get a grip on how you play, before the match, that is. While it's touted that the CPU adapts to how you play in-game, it would be interesting if like in FM, the opposition have an idea of how you'll be setting up, or maybe adjusting their--or it's, rather--match plan based on your squads weaknesses (or their strengths). Maybe it's a tall order, but it'd sure be cool. It'd make ML more interesting, for sure, and would spawn the need to adjust tactics and mindsets during a match more often.

I guess I'd like more of a tactical battle than what's presented to game players, or more in-depth scouting of your oppositions squad than just the same formations/tactics you get used to playing against; or, maybe certain managers in the game could be made to be tactical tinkerers, e.g. Van Gaal, Guardiola, Martinez and so forth. Anywho, it's hard to come back to playing PES after playing FM for a bit, I guess; and so my biggest suggestion would be to take some things from FM and implement them in PES. Much of these things are just common to football, so no toes or copyrights would be stepped on.

Hopefully they tone down the CPU chipping the goalkeepers every time there through 1 on 1 and also fix the CPU free kicks where they shoot from impossible angles and cross from shooting positions.

This. And they always shot in the worst of ways, the most dangerous freekick I've faced was about 50cm over the bar. In PES2013 FKs to the AI would mean goal, in this game it means goal kick.

One of the things that's really pissing me off at the moment (and has been present in PES for years), is that when a player loses the ball they stop dead in their tracks for a brief moment, even though you're still holding onto the analog stick.

It's just another instance of PES taking control of your players, which it NEEDS to stop doing. Same with when players put you under pressure, which pretty much makes your player unable to do anything. You'll hold the pass button, and then the power bar will just disappear. If I want to pass when I'm under pressure, let me fucking pass!!
The lack of control is a big problem. As I've said before, it's not something you see in other genres of games.

When the AI comes from behind right after you got the ball, right? And the player goes like "wtf happened?", and just stops and stares at the place where the ball should be.

If that didn't happen I would score/suffer 50% more and less goals, respectively.

As for the pressure it stops working after a few seconds of pressure, but it really depends on the players. If you are controling Zlatan he will not be dispossessed, and you'll be able to pass/shot/run/etc like you should. But if you have the ball with, let's say, Isco, he will be able to pass it in the first few seconds. After that, if he continues to be under pressure, he will focus solely on not losing the ball (which he does lose). I guess that if he tried to pass he would fall and lose it anyways. But at least we would have the chance to choose.

It's always the same thing, the game overcomes our skills not by playing better, but by constraining what we can control. When this changes, a brand new world will be before our feet.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind if I fucked up the pass/shot because my player was under pressure, but it doesn't even give me that choice!

Other occurrences of the game taking control of your players include:

- Running onto a through pass - you can't take control of the ball when you want. The player just runs along side it until their paths meet. If you let go of the analog stick, the player would still keep running.

- When the CPU team plays a through ball down the wing (or wherever). You'll take control of your fullback and hold the analog stick towards the ball or whatever, keeping it held down in the same direction, but quite often (probably more often than not), your player will alter his run slightly (despite you not altering the angle of the analog stick), allowing the CPU attacker to take control of the ball.
- Cutting in from the wing (say for example a right footed player on the right side), you go to aim a shot in the far corner - the player will actually shoot towards the near post. Of course, you could forgive a player miss-hitting his shot, but it happens far too often.

All these events, and other things mentioned in this thread, are all examples of PES fucking your shit up, because it doesn't have addequate enough opposition AI to provide any real challenge.

Excluding gameplay, if they don't have these two improvements I won't buy:

 1. Option files, find a way dammit. Most major sports games have the option to share roster files etc.
 2. Revamp ML, it's the most dead ass boring sports mode around

I really enjoyed PES 15, the gameplay was mint IMO. Could've played that for ages if it had a proper game mode. My Club sucks ass and ML is like a slow horrible painful death.

They should create a website similar to what EA has for FIFA, where you can create teams, players etc. and download them into your game. I doubt they'll be able to add logo uploads etc. but for heavens sake find a way...every single law has grey areas.

I really don't know what they think is enjoyable about ML. There is no interaction with anything. It's just menus upon menus and match after match. No news section, nothing feels alive...it barely feels as if there is any football being played outside of your league.

By now they should've been able to expand the creation suite to much more. It's actually gotten worse.

How about create a cup?
Create a team?
Create a league?
Create a ball?

Give us the option to draw logos, images or anything we want. Just a flat canvas and we can use whatever we create anywhere on a kit.

It's not rocket science Konami you dumb fucks.

What we want ....or will never get!

"What I want for PES2016" ... is for PES fans to realize that we are just going in circles here.

Konami just does not give a rats arse about what any of its fans want.

I know all of us would really like to see improvements, but we must realize we continue to beat the hell out of a very dead horse here.

What I want has remained the same items listed in what I wanted in PES2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015...and I know for sure 2016 has been already been programmed... so good luck with that.

Hell no, because a) I  PES, b) FIFA is even worse and c) FIFA wants to kill PES, no way I'll help them.

But yeah, this is just like the never-ending story of the plumber: you ask for a guy to fix something, I'll fix 70% of it. You'll then need to ask for another fella to fix the remaining 30%, he'll fix 20% and worsen another 10%. And so on...

"Wants to kill PES"? :shocking: Have you been living is a cave?
PES is a Zombie right now! Its been dead.... Fifa killed it in "09".
There are only about 15 fans buying and playing PES right now ...well 14 plus yourself. :w00t

:lol2: PES ain't anywhere near being dead, not while we have UEFA and Brazilian League. And FIFA is killing PES not because they sell more, but because they sign exclusivity contracts with whatever teams/leagues that force Konami to not even being able make offers to such teams/leagues.

If both games could have the exact same resources available then it would be a fair fight, but this is just like the last round in a poker final: the player with more money controls the table. Here it's EA.

 Again ..insanity. Over and over again and expecting different results.

Call it faith if you want as well. Faith is unfounded hope, exactly what we have. Faith that someday this will be as we wish, despite the recurring disappointments.
