What Do You Want In PES16?

PES ain't anywhere near being dead, not while we have UEFA and Brazilian League. And FIFA is killing PES not because they sell more, but because they sign exclusivity contracts with whatever teams/leagues that force Konami to not even being able make offers to such teams/leagues.

I agree that EA has most of the exclusive contracts, but i believe the reason they are more popular is because they have done what many of us expected Konami to do.......evolve the game.

To me Fifa is what i expected Seabass and his idiots to do. Its still a half arsed game but the basics are good. More so, they have a fully functional online system. Forget licenses, I was playing PES without all that crap. The game play is what hooked me to PES. Today, Fifa has that gameplay and has created a very effective online system for fans around the world....even Portugal. :rolleyes:

If both games could have the exact same resources available then it would be a fair fight, but this is just like the last round in a poker final: the player with more money controls the table. Here it's EA.

I don't want to ...but I have to agree. Fifa brings in millions just from Fifa. But PES was also charting very well at one point.

But instead of listening to its fans and

-Moving to an updated game engine.. earlier than Fifa did
-Investing in upgraded online servers..we complained early enough
-Employing a third party developer to help with innovative ideas for PES online game modes
-Adapting to our "Western" style of game presentation.

...they used the early profits to spend on shitty titles such as MGS, while promising us fans a better game ..get this .."Next Year" every year. (Hence the title of this thread)

So now they are Zombies walking around trying to eat the flesh of Fifa players. Blaming Fifa for their demise.

The truth about is that Seabass is the one who killed PES.

The gameplay is still all the way towards PES, but the parts I bolded are spot on. They (Konami) behaved like politicians before elections, promised this world and the other, and delivered rien.

And I never touched online... but I've heard/read more bad things about it than good ones. So yeah, FIFA demolishes PES regarding online, no doubt.

Through ball spamming to be fixed.

For players receiving passes/through balls to feet to carry on running instead of taking it back with their first touch even when you hold forward direction (AI does this too when they could be through on goal).

Regular shooting with non world class players is too random IMO, I feel like I HAVE to constantly use placed shots just to hit the target.

Yellow cards should be reserved for fouls deserving, repeat offenders etc not 9/10 of all fouls.

Ball rotation- every shot has backspin, outside or inside swerve, except FKs which can have top spin. It would be nice if some shots were hit clean with no rotation (particularly with players who have good technique and do it regularly in real life).

ML player development charts should be brought back.

Bring back regular League mode.

AI has to cross more and headers should hit the target more often.

More AI fouls, sometimes they foul just once or twice in 20 minute games. Well actually they foul more the ref just doesn't give anything.

Goals against run of play/CPU goal conversion rate. Yeah goals against the run of play happen and sometimes teams score with one shot when the other team misses 10, but not every game. To win games on superstar regularly I usually need double-triple the amount of shots the CPU has.

Better crowd noise.

Sometimes when I'm controlling a defender with just the analogue stick he'll lunge in without my consent (mainly when CPU does skill with winger). Less of that.

Better player stat updates. E.g. Harry Kane only recently was updated from being 68 to 74 or 75 which is still shit compared to other players.

The CPU passing the ball around the back is ridiculous. Thankfully I play a high press with 4 players advanced off the ball so it isn't too bad but if I played without it it would be disc-snappingly boring and frustrating.

For PES 16 I want 2K Games to buy PES from KONAMI. Yeah, I actually want that.

Now here is someone with a realistic wish!

Screw Konami and the fish Seabass. For years they have promised and promised and promised. Tired of "wishing" for something next year as soon as the game releases this year.

Pes is dead...sell the damn thing to another developing studio who will be willing to revive the series with innovative and invigorating ideas that will also listen to the core fans suggestions and concerns. :angry:

- Would like to see the league table show the amount of games played, rather than just games W/D/L.

- Be able to check league tables from previous seasons.

- No more retired players coming back as 16 year olds, or at least give the option to turn this off.

- Better regen names, most of them sound ridiculous and unrealistic.

- Managers should have reputations - takes away the realism to see Pep Guardiola leave Bayern Munich to manage AFC Bournemouth.

- Team spirit in the Master League as well as myClub.

- Player injuries.

- Better scouting system - The advanced search for players should be limited to scouting knowledge, similar to FM.

- Weekly wages instead of yearly salary.

- More realistic transfers - you can't just sign anyone because you have the money.

- Hire/fire staff - Physios, Coaches and Scouts etc.

And player/team stats too.

I've said before that Konami should adopt a youth player system similar to that of Fifa career mode. To be honest though, I can't see them adding it. Too much effort for a mode they don't give a shit about anymore, since it's not a cashcow.

- Better regen names, most of them sound ridiculous and unrealistic.

Yup. Fake names in general are shit (player and team).

On the whole, they need to sort out the player naming system. Each player (with the exception of those who use nicknames/common names) should have a first name and last name. It looks sloppy when you have most of the team with 'A. SMITH' names, and then you have a 'SCHMOGLOBRAQ' (Konami love their 'Qs').
And cut out the all caps shit. Again, it looks sloppy and unprofessional.

- More realistic transfers - you can't just sign anyone because you have the money.

To be fair, this is pretty realistic. If Bristol Rovers offered Stirling £200k a week, he'd bite their hand off.

- Hire/fire staff - Physios, Coaches and Scouts etc.

I think you used to be able to do this in older games!

"What I want for PES2016" ... is for PES fans to realize that we are just going in circles here.

Konami just does not give a rats arse about what any of its fans want.

I know all of us would really like to see improvements, but we must realize we continue to beat the hell out of a very dead horse here.

What I want has remained the same items listed in what I wanted in PES2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015...and I know for sure 2016 has been already been programmed... so good luck with that.

Why continue?:crymore:

Just play Fifa :D

I'm afraid you are right. :crymore:

I call :bs: on that "something different" talk.. For me it will all be shit until proven otherwise. No more false expectations, PES6, PES2013 and PES2015 won't leave my side so... carry on with the "differences". I'm entertained in the meanwhile.

Andy Gray would be great though.

I agree 100%! They will now begin the "..This will be the best PES ever" campaign, promising us all things they know will not be/has never been in any PES game.

But there are still believers out there.....so why not?

I would like to see:

Games that when the computer loses doesn't make mine also almost impossible to win.

A database history of everything you have done in ML and BAL modes. E.G previous league tables, players/team/manager of the years etc...

Get rid of morale (arrows) or at least make it so that it goes slowly up or down based upon your teams performances. This way a single 5-0 defeat could make your team go into a bit of a slump as some of your players could have blue or purple arrows. This could work like team spirit in MyClub.

Make it so that international games are played in season breaks and your players are not returned to you the day of your next game. It is ridiculous to have 27 out 32 players with half stamina and all blue/purple.

Get rid of regen players. I hate seeing Eto, Messi etc... as regurgitated 16 year olds.

Get player injuries back in, during games and during training. Have a slider so we can chose at the start of the campaign how often injuries occur; Off, rare, normal, often, your players are made of flakey stuff, or something

Staffing team, fitness, def, GK, Mid ATT, coaches that can be hired or fired. The better you get the more chance your youth team will produce a superstar or current players develop better or obtain fewer injuries.

Proper training pitches and a stadium editor. In ML have the option to create your own team, if you start in a lower league your default stadium will be small to begin with, you can later spend money to increase the size by adding new stands. This takes time and money and is not an instant thing. When this is happening the current stand being worked on will be unavailable so your attendance will actually drop.

For the above to work, we need a proper transfer system. Players staying loyal to their teams, harder to buy the best players ect...

Better scouting system. Scouts can be hired or fired, better scouts find better players, buy multiple scouts to scout several areas around the world at the same time (if you have the money spare).

Full editing of all teams even licensed teams.

STOP WRITING ALL TEAM NAMES IN CAPS IT'S ANNOYING!

I will think of more I am sure.

Suggestions for PES 2016

First off I want to say is: Why every football game ever made is so obssesed with the idea on having a Tv-like feel when you could have a In-pitch experience. There should be an option to turn off the replays as well for the current game, so it works like online mode: If you liked a goal you can save it afterwards.

Second: The penalties are Broken, if the keepers can move trying to guess which way the ball is going and having a clear advantage on catching the ball, the shooter should have the chance to change the direction.

Third: English League licenses

Fourth: your call ups on National team players should be affected on the team when you play online, after all you are the coach.

this is mostly I can remember now, I will think on more

Better AI on both teams would definitely be an improvement, as well as a more friendly learning curve. I don't know about you guys, because I'm usually a Level 3 player, but I've had more difficulty with this year's PES than in previous editions - so much that I've been having to play on Level 2 just to be able to win my matches, and still I haven't finished a match with over 50% possession. This may sound nitpicky, but it doesn't reflect a dumbed-down AI in the slightest (or maybe it's because I usually play on keyboard - my joystick doesn't always stick to the USB port).

All other changes I'd want are basically cosmetic and/or content-based:
* More licensed balls, adboards and stadia;
* Show the crowd wearing the shirts I make on Edit Mode, stamped or not;
* More and better music... I'm SICK AND TIRED of Konami's shoddy "Summer Hits" playlists (at least there's no David fucking Guetta though) - that's something they should learn from EA;
* No more of this duplicated team crap. The thought that a South American team can appear THREE FRIGGIN' TIMES - one for their league, one on Libertadores, and one on Sudamericana - gets on my nerves. Do they do that with the European teams? No. Then why must they do that for South American teams?
* Bring the stadium editor back;
* Put in some African clubs, just to make it a more complete experience;
* Make teams with generic kits appear with their correct colors, or a more correct design (I recall it was painful playing with Brazil in green in these late years; I know they got the license to the Brazilian team now, but I'm sure they'd still make a green kit rather than a generic yellow-blue-white, and I don't want that);
* If they can't get the Bundesliga licensed, then make a generic German League. There's just no logic for them not to do it, considering they make a generic English League with 95% of fake teams every year. Besides, they have the license to three teams from Germany, which makes it a better proportion than the English League (1:6 to 1:20).

I think, off the top of my head, that's about it. I'm not asking much for licenses because most of these kinds of problems can easily be remedied in Edit Mode.

Damnit, THIS. I can't believe I forgot to point it out before.
I wonder what the hell the people at Konami smoke to come up with these names? They don't even sound anything like the language they're supposed to be! I even added that to TVTropes here, rattling off the Kalaquisong City players as an example:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AsLongAsItSoundsForeign

BTW, "Kalaquisong"? Are you seriously trying to convince me that's in Australia? I'd think it were in Thailand, Cambodia or whatever, but friggin' Australia?! Gimme a goddamn break, game.

V-Foot - with regards to the music, they're also behind the times. An Avici track that's 2 years old, and that Bastile one too.

I mean, the Fifa soundtracks may not be to everyone's tastes, but at least they're current.
