What was the best ever PES?

Did this even exist? :erm:

North American version of PES 6. Full name actually Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007, or WEPES 2007.

PES 5 had a lot of good introductions so it's the best overall. The fairplay feature was amazing. I was shocked when the ai got injured I put the ball out of play only for them to kick it back to me when play resumed just like irl. Absolutely no idea why it was removed a year later. I believe Middle Shooting and Covering special abilities were introduced. Also first time we seen snow in PES.

2008 for ps2 has best gameplay though.

Definatly not PES 2008! Altogether it's possibly the worst, in my opinion.

I had an original XBox but i never got a PES game on that, and since only recent PES games have been resonable on the PC, I cant really compare it to any of the others.. but I reckon I prefer PES 6. PES 2008 has been a major step down.

The best game they've ever made is ISS Pro: Evolution for PS1. In its time, it was total football. Even going back and playing now, you can easily lose a day of your life! For anyone that didn't join the Pro Evo revolution until it hit the PS2, I strongly urge you to go back and pick this title up!

Not so dated! The other day I visited an old-time friend i hadn't seen in years, and the poor guy still has his PSOne, so we fired up Winning Eleven 4 (just like old times) and, obviously, he ran rings around me all day long. The old versions are still as fun as they were back in the day.

BTW, Winning Eleven 3 or 4 (PS One) are probably the best experience I've ever had in football gaming, with PES 5 a close second. Any of those 3 will make you waste months of your life.

5 was the best but if you remember the first, because there was no editing you concentrated on the game and i remember having many a great game with unedited team versus unedited team without worrying about how realistic i'd got the kits.
