Whats the point in buying players in ML on 5* or more?

its stupid. My Martins (99 speed, 99 accelaration) just got outpaced by Hyypia.

There is no point trying to buy players because the CPU players do not relate to their stats.

Playing on 5* or more is just frustrating, all the cpu players have 110 for speed and tackle me if i get within 5 metres of them. ALso if I DO manange by some miricle to takle them, its always a foul.

Play on 3* for a bit longer sounds like a good solution......

Personally Im addicted to 3* much more fun!

I dont really see the difference between 3 and 6 stars - just that on 6 the cpu seems to position his players a bit better and doesnt seem to miscontrol it so much - apart from that they are the same IMHO

Thats exactly what I tell people when they say Im rubbish for playing on 3*.....they normally take it back when I beat them with Saudi Arabia.

I play on six stars but find that you can take players on easier cause they rush at you and all you need is a quick player like Henry for instance to do a nice little turn and your away, but I dont agree that its not that different from 3 stars....C,mon, a win less than four or five nil every game at three stars and your lacking.

True, very true. I get really pissed off on 6* though because stupid things happen which make you draw games and then you finish second in the league by a point or something annoying. At least on 3* you can play for fun and never loose, which is the point - lets face it, its a game and games are supposed to be fun.

Games aren't fun when you keep winning. They get boring, hence why they made 6 star.

Challenge gives birth to fun, I tell thee.

6 star can be frustrating but the ending score is much more realistic. Besides, you have to admit that when you do score a goal it is so much sweeter. The thing is anyway you want to look at it the AI of the game is crap. Firstly, it is true that it tackles recklessly everytime youre running down the sides and ive always thought that the great players like Zidane, Ronaldinho, etc, should pull fancy moves when controlled by the computer. I have never seen the comp make a 360 or flick it above a players head. They should look into that.

There is a fine line between challenge and fun and challenge and getting pissed off :)

Defensively, it doesn't get more difficult on higher levels in my opinion.

The computer close you down quicker and force you into more difficult situations on higher levels tho, but once you master dribbling, passing and moving and one-twos, theres no trouble...

I prefer playing on 3* as the computer gets so annoying at 6*. I know i can win easily on 3* but it lets me pull of all the tricks that i can use against my mates.

I couldn't agree more.

but if u pull those tricks against a 6* player, he will completely bash you off~
6* is a piece of cake...i did play a lot when the game was out in the first few couple of months, but gets bored after i can win the world cup with China...
my friend plays me and he usually use those fancy moves (like 360 turn) but one slide tackle, the ball was mine~

practice makes perfect

I normally play on 3*just coz its easier to score good goals and for a laugh but I can still beat my mates all the time.

Actually I did just beat Man Utd 4 - 0 on 6* with the default Boca team......I rule

This is an interesting thread - but I have one question; how long do you set the games for? The difficulty levels are important, but I've noticed that the experience is really different depending on the timeframe. I mostly stuck to 10 minute matches until a few months ago - when I started going to longer matches, it really changed things; it seemed easier to score, not just because of more chances, because I compared stats, and even when I didn't have more chances my goal average was higher - have any of you noticed this kind of thing?

I can imagine this type of thing happening but I really wouldnt want to increase the game length - the score would just get stupid and it would take way too long.

Cheat, be a man and challenge yourself on 6*

If you are just starting out it is better to play on a lower difficulty. Its more fun as well sometimes. I have two Master League files, one on 3* and one on 6* so wether I want a challenge on just a few hundred scoring chances I got them both.
