Hi I am currently on my first season on Nottingham Forest and is reaching of the the season. After loading up last few weeks towards end of the season, I realised that I am able to change the youth players appearing in my academy. 2 of the best players I have in my save games are Qasim Said "next C. I'd personally go for the striker. His set of high stats (stamina through agility, shooting, tenacity, form) should make him more useful right out of the gate. Really depends on what your squad looks like, though, as the first can play quite a few positions, so if you're short on all-around depth, he might be the better option.

Thanks Eristic. Erm which will be a better prospect for these 2? I actually have the roles well covered for my strikers and wingers. Is this kind of youths appearing in the academy rare considering my youth academy is only at low level only?

If it's at the lowest level, 80+ is extremely rare! Normally pumps out players in the 50s and 60s! Hard to say who'll turn out "better", both should hit at least ~95 overall by 25 or so since they both have steady development.

Once again, for me, Tenorio would be the better option, because he has outstanding speed, stamina and form, meaning he's better prepared to go straight into the team and compete, even starting if necessary, and even if it's full of stars already. Also, he has a number of stats that will quite likely max out after a few years, which is always fun to see in a development-based game!

The winger (keeping in mind he's slightly younger) would require a year or two to make the starting eleven regularly unless you find yourself hit by injuries or aging players in decline, as he doesn't have enough pace just yet to be particularly effective traditional winger, and his long passing stats aren't quite high enough to make a Beckhamesque "slow" winger. Now, he does have fantastic dribbling (which should max out), so if you're a player that likes to dribble around the top of the box, he might make an excellent inverted winger (since he can play both sides) or an old-school inside forward, cutting in and attempting to wriggle through defenders.

Good problem to have!

C Ronaldo > R Keane

Why can't you just sign them both?? I'm sure both can start right out of the gate for you.

Both are in two (2) different saves. Therefore, he can't sign both.

As Eristic, I'd opt for the striker but it depends on your actual squad. What are you looking for? What might you need the most?

Actually to be honest, I am quite sufficient of players for forwards and wingers due to the patch I have made 10s over millions by selling players much higher as I bought them before the patch. I am thinking of simulating these 2 players for 1 season and see which one will grow better and then decide on. Thanks alot for all the comments especially Eristic whom has set me thinking as which will be more useful to my squad.

Sign them both up.. Play them a lot, find out which you like better and then sell the one you dont like as much.

Would be good business and a profit which didnt cost a thing appart from wages.

If you just want one then i would suggest the next Robbie Keane mainly for the fact his form is 7. That way more chance of keeping high form. You could always train him to play different positions.

For me Qasim Said is definitely the better option in the long-run. Sure, the other guy has amazing speed but he lacks the dribbling stats required to properly compliment all that speed. Sure you could develop his dribbling skills over the long-run but Qasim Said has such high dribbling stats that his top speed and acceleration are never truly going to be an issue as long as they both stay 80+. My opinion is you should go for Qasim Said, he will be much more effective right away to bang in goals from all directions and distances.

But really it's all down to what position you want to place more focus on. Qasim Said would be very effective as a winger or second striker whereas the other guy is best played strictly in the penalty area to make the most of his quick bursts of acceleration and accurate shooting. But either way you're going to have a player well into the 90's within a few years who will bang in at least 40 goals per season no problem.

I wouldnt say its sad at all.

It all depends how you play... The next Keane has a higher form rating and therefore means more chance of him not going into blue or purple arrows

Its all whether you want a player already high in certain stats and low on form or a player who has good form and therefore play more regulary at the top level.

It is possible to improve form (depends on your trainer).

I'd personally go for CR7 because I play on the flanks a lot.
