Whip it and whip it good!

not to be taken seriously
Anyone got any tips on how to whip the ball in, Ronaldo style like the other day against everton, starting to look like he's more than just 2 million stepovers.

If you watched his youth tournaments youd see alot more than step overs.

I didnt see the ball so I cant help unless I know what kind of whip in you are refering to. Its a term that id used to refer to just about any cross with a bit of curl these days.

the best way to whip the balll in is to hit the direction button ure running in twice then hit :L1: + :circle: and it will whip the ball in really quick and it luks really gud when u do it wid beckham and u pull off an amazing header/volley :D

All you have to do is tap :circle: twice! that ball'll be whipped in as quicker than normal but will be lower too. Good for an AM to run in with a steamin header too!

Or if you want an early cross hold :L1: then tap :circle: twich,
It crosses a class ball

When in the auto-crossing zone face wide of the goal ( as if you where going to cross it out of play) and then just hit circle, theres no use in doing L1 and Circle un-less you are outside the auto-crossing zone, and because its beeing aimed wide curl should be put on the ball in order to keep it in play. :)

This isn't exactly whipping it in, but I find it a useful tactic all the same. Tap :circle:, :circle:, :circle:, and then you'll drill the ball in along the ground. Not only does this effectively get the ball into the box for one of your attackers most times, but if defenders do happen to get in the way, it'll usually always bounce off them and either out for a corner, or maybe even into the net for an own goal.

Just use what-ever is best for the situation u are in, if u are outside of the crossing zone then hit L1 and Circle. if there is a player at the front post double-tap circle if there is a player at the far post just press circle.

I usually try :circle: , :circle: , :circle: , when there's someone floating about behind the defence. And with my formation, this is the case a lot.

I also use it when there are no players really pushed far enough up, because it so often results in a corner.

all this can be very useful as long as you are not using a crap player who cant kick a ball. i just tend to use the L1+ O.

L1+O is useless if in the auto-crossing zone!! The whole point of pressing L1+O is if u are outside the box so u don't have to power it up, It does exactly the same thing as just pressing O in the auo-crossing zone.

i think the auto crossing zone is the last 18 yards of the attacking end of the pitch. basically, behind the edge of the box

:L1: + :circle: :circle: gives the best low & powerful whipped in ball.
You can do it from anywhere on the pitch, too. Not just from inside the opponents last 18 yards of the pitch.

Travis Bickle, dyou mean you want curl on it? If so what you should do is face the 18 yard line in the auto crossing zone. Turn you player so that he is not facing the box or the touchline, he should be diagonal. Then use whatever buttons you like to cross it.

Obviously, you'll need someone with adequate curling stats.
