Why does KONAMI keep removing good things about previous PES games?

I play a lot of exhibition matches and seem to remember it had some good options that no longer remain, like you could decide if the game was a derby match and also if the stadium was full or half empty. They were nice little touches. I think an option to set exhibition matches up as different scenarios would be great. Making a game a 'cup' match would mean AI would throw men forward at the end or maybe setting that AI only needs a draw, so they will defend deep. Relegation battle would mean both teams will scrap for everything. I would like to see AI players lose their heads and get stupid bookings and reds cards.

i miss them all remember....PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER _.... at the start of every older game...it was the best, then less commentary, less languages now no other languages for UK, this is a travesty. please bring back these things and give us 22 slots for the two leagues PLEASE Serie B & championship are not 18 teams, more emblem slots....it is almost impossible for a non computer geek to patch the game!!!!

What I miss the most is the crowd atmosphere PES use to have on old gen. Remember when you could have equal supporters for each team or make the stadium half full? I also miss the streamers and the flares and fireworks the crowds use to set off on old gen. Those were pretty awesome to watch

I have a doubt regarding Become a Legend, may as well ask it here, since I think it's fitting.

When you win either the Copa Libertadores or the UEFA Champions League, do you get to play the Club International Cup?

I have managed a whole 5 hours before sending this years instalment back to Amazon. Gameplay seems very good as per the demo but I have had enough of Konami otherwise for another year. The lack of a league mode (football game 101 as I have pointed out to Konami by email) and the inability to get online (asks to go to a settings screen then goes back to previous screen with no error message, a clue would help!). And I was lucky I guess to miss the clusterf**k of the original release of the latest DLC. The final thing is this online pass b***ocks, now we barely even own the game on a console (dont buy any piracy etc angle as its on a console, its just another hoop to go through and potentially go wrong with Konamis recent track record). My loyalty to Konami over ten years ago is being sorely tested and it is hard to feel any desire to support 'the underdog' against EA the way they are behaving.

Oh Im ranting sorry Ill stop now and maybe reconsider sending it back tomorrow....

I remember when the opposition would switch to a 3-4-3 if they were losing. It's a very basic but obvious thing to do. Not sure why KONAMI removed this........ But you can programme the opposition to switch to this attacking formation.

All you have to do, is in the Edit mode, Edit Team, select Gameplan 2, 3 or 4 (not 1), these are usually preset as "Standard", just change one of them to "All Out Attack" and select the 3-4-3 Formation.
Unfortunately you will have to adjust every team to have this option, but it's worth doing.

Try it with one team and then play against them. If you're winning by 2 goals, by the 70th minute they'll switch and start pelting you with crosses into the box. (it's great to catch them on the break though).

Like I said they don't really listen. The quality of the game has never improved to the levels it should when you look at the gaming industry as a whole & the in depth polished games out there Konami is still in 1984.
