Why isn't Santos FC in Copa ???

As the title states, why isn't Santos included into Copa Libertadores ?

Were Santos in the Copa Libertadores in 2010?

PES 2011 let's not forget was first released in the summer of 2010, with a full license I believe to the Copa Libertadores.

The only thing I can think of is that Santos weren't in the 2010 Copa, but made it into the next Copa competition - by which PES 2011 had already been released many months before.

The libertadores cup isnt played like the champions league or the uefa europa league playing the hole year, its only 5-6 months in the second part of the season, and like 4 or 5 months after the game been released.
so when the game is released in september/october/november, in the libertadores only 10-20% of the teams have qualified to the tournament wich start in february. The license is for the last tournament played
for pes 2011 is libertadores 2010, for pes 2012 is going to be libertadores 2011 and so on...

santos weren't in the 2010 edition...

this years version they'll be in it, but knowing konami they'll underrate them like every other south american team...

I'm curious to see how Luis Fabiano will be treated in terms of his stats. The problem with the South American teams is you get generally one player who is a beast surrounded by a bunch of 60's and 50's which is unrealistic.

This year it will be filled with horrible average players we will only be able to use in the mode :/ And players like Ganso, Neymar and Jobson will be 75-80's with the likes of Ronaldinho, Luis Fabiano being 85+
