No matter what bad condition his starting lineup is, and how hot the bench is. I remember there was an option in the previous Pro Evo(s) where you could choose whether the CPU puts some consideration in choosing his starting lineup but I see nothing now. I am talking strictly about single exhibition matches. What happened?

Yeah, annoying that.
You can change all the teams starting lineup in EDIT, but every now and again the lineup will suddenly go all fucked, and a Goalkeeper will play up front.
The only way to stop this from happening is to make sure that the best players are in the first 11 in the list, and in right order.
This means you'll have to transfer the likes of Carrick at Man Utd who's playing at Centre Back, of which Ferdinand will auto mastic ally fill his position, the add Carrick back in to the squad.
It's annoying, but it's the only way.

not only that, I meant the form. For example I know Iniesta>Fabregas but it makes no sense to bench a red-hot Fabregas to play Iniesta who's in terrible condition(by condition I mean the arrows next to the players, if that wasn't clear). It makes a huge difference.
The saddest part is that Konami once had this figured out by giving us the option for the CPU to think for itself. They just took it away.
