Why does the ref seem to blow the final whistle even if i'm just about to receive a through ball putting me 1-on-1 with the keeper to decide a draw? (and there's no offside/foul)

This happened to me so many times it's really starting to frustrate me.. is there a patch or something to make the ref a bit more aware of the situation?
