Downloading fifa too :p
I think this year with the Be A Keeper and the new Manager Mode Fifa will have more depth!

^True, especially be a keeper. I always wanted something like that.
But really, the gameplay matter most as there were some things I COULDN'T STAND about fifa 10. I hope they're better now otherwise I will be bored of fifa. In my opinion fifa 09 was a better overall product than fifa 10. I hope 11 won't go downhill.

From what I have read on the FIFA forums (talk about biased), there are several complains and mixed feelings. Too fast, too easy seem to be the most common along with "More of FIFA 10.5 than FIFA 11".

I think we're on the right boat for once.

Im a football man and i will download fifa l8r on...but i know already i wont like it...i never like fifa...ive always been a pes man! To me fifa is always to easy and you can score scremers with curtis davis...flip flaps, rainbow flick etc...its jus silly!!!is that realistic??? Not in my eyes...ok fifa does have some good points like the comentary and no online lag, but all that will be fixed for pes 2011...even fifa fans i know have said that if the final code is as good as the demo, then fifa will struggle to be top dog...alot of them are really scared that mlo will take over...

I'm gonna get both. Fifa on manual is very good against mates, but i'm far more excited for pro. Also means i have something to play for a few weeks before pro is released/ an option file is made :D

Gamesmaster say that FIFA 11 is the best football game ever made!!!!......i believe PES 2011 will be the best football game made but i will be downloading the FIFA 11 demo tomorrow just to see how bad the competition is...

I've decided that this year I'm gonna pay very little attention to reviews and just see which demo I prefer. I think there is currently a massive bias towards Fifa in the review market and even if PES massively improves this year I still think Fifa will end up with a better Metacritic score.

Fifa 10 had major problems with the Manager Mode bugs and yet some reviewers said it was a perfect game and the best game of football ever made! If one of the major game modes is critically flawed how can it get 9.5 and 10/10???

Agreed, had a look on the FIFA forums this morning and feelings are a lot more mixed than I expected. Even for the type and irritating fanboys the FIFA fanboys are known for there are quite a lot of poeple complaining about the same issues they had in FIFA 10. For example, too much and constant defensive pressure, too easy to take the ball away etc.

From the gameplay movies I've seen I wasn't impressed by FIFA 11 at all, as the gameply looks pretty much like FIFA 10. Personality+ is a gimmick IMO.

heheh the funny thing is that there is this Dave guy who runs fifasoccerblog.com and he is pretty much the "adam" (winningelevenblog) version of fifa. One guy complained that Puyol hit a perfect 40yard through pass to Messi to score (which although not impossible chances are very slim it will happen) this Dave guys just goes on Puyol can hit these passes as he is a professional footballer etc.

Glad to see the same shit we saw on PES forums for 3 straight years happening in fifa forums this year. All the denial, convincing etc.

The problem is that these days you cannot trust reviews as most major game companies buy good scores...and review sites allow this as it's good revenue.

As Shaun7 mentioned FIFA09 was a lot better than FIFA10 IMHO. And Fifa10 had major problems with MM but got incredibly high scores. The first fifa11 review is a 94% by gamesmaster...and I can promise you than it's scores will be skyhigh across the board...but go have a look at there forums in a month's time and you will see how everyone disses the game for being piss poor.

Don't trust reviews ever...

GTA IV is the best example, although a brilliant game, it was nowhere near as good and in-depth as GTA: San Andreas but GTAIV got perfect scores from everyone...

The biggest sites always rate too high because of back payments and shit, and small sites always give shit ratings just so that people go visit there site and read why they rate is so poorly. The gaming industry has become too much of a business unfortunately...

You were correct all along Bru! This year PES will finally have the better game (not that FIFA is bad, just doesn't warrant a new purchase IMO).

Ah forget Adam/Dave, its sad to see grown men argue over a videogame.

Hope you pre-ordered NBA2K11. Along with PES, those 2 will be all that you need til The Show 11 comes along!

hehe howzit bud! Agreed, Fifa11 isn't horrible, but not worth a new purchase at all IMO.

sidenote: did see some NBA2k11 gameplay movies and it looks awesome, definitely a first day buy

I played a few games of fifa 11, sorry but i see no difference from fifa 10. It's just not good gameplay wise. Graphically pes 2011 wins hands down, even with it's grainy look.

Sadly I think you're very right. Especially concerning EA and Fifa. Don't know if you've noticed but Fifa 11 sponsors everything!! I watched the Premiership highlights on Yahoo at lunchtime and it ends by saying -

"This programme is brought to you in partnership with Fifa 11."

I wonder if Yahoo will give Fifa a good score... ;)

I'm not saying Fifa 11 won't be a good game, I just don't think it'll be anywhere near as good as the 94% scores that Gamemaster and no doubt many others will give.
