One day was all it took for Konami to get a million copies of Winning Eleven 8 into retail outlets throughout Japan. The company revealed Friday that it managed the impressive shipment feat at the game's Thursday release, making this latest entry in Japan's most popular soccer series well on its way to reaching its shipping target of 1.5 million units.

Man i have this fear that Konami will turn into EA cause of all the money their getting.You know next year they could add a new adidas boot,4 new hairstyles and 2 new balls and still sell like Crazy.Hopefully all the cash wont get to their heads.

Its pretty close.Final Fantasy X-2 sold 1.2 mill in one day. Altogether it probably sold about 2.5mill worldwide.

Avent played it yet, but if you ever played any of the earlier FIFA tiltles you'll notice they started off smooth each year a very apprediated change and then EA stopped making quality FIFA titles after the success became more apparent.Hoping W11-9/PES 5 will be another leap in terms of gameplay,graphics,licenses and pioneering the online world.
