Would you except a completed game every two years. The game would have to be updated of course. I would wait. Most of us are playing pes6 anyways.

Yes i would if it was a good game if konami said to give their fans the true pro evo experience and release the game every 2 years I wouldnt mind FIFA will never be as good as pro. There could be no excuses about making it on to many formats as I heard that was an excuse that they were making. I also believe they threw the towel in with pro evo 2008 to make pro 09 pure class.

All the new games on the ps3 are crap. They scrapped Gran Turismo 5 HD because they couldn't get it out in time and are going to peddle out a much lesser version, probably still for £50.

Waiting....
I'll say yes, for the next edition, but once they've sorted every problem from PES2008, they should produce the game annually.

I would definitely wait two years; this would give Konami enough time see what features works as well as ample time to sort out silly little bugs to make future releases worth buying.

They would have to release updates because of the transfer system.
Is this likely to happen? No absolutely not, Konami have sponsorship and other business interests that they have to consider also there is no way there are going miss the chance to rake in millions each year from miss guided PES fans.

Konami’s profits in the last finical have fallen drastically so they’re not going to give this idea a second thought even though it’s probably the best solution that will allow them to reclaim they reputation.

It’s clear that Konami regard money as more important than customer satisfaction or even the quality of their workmanship.

Only if it was worth the wait. I'd be happy to wait 2 years if it was well worth the money and addictive - unlike 2008

Silly thread

They will not release every 2 years because it is a business and the sales for the year they dont release would impact on their turnover!!!!
No point talking about something that wont happen!!!!

Thank you for your considered input.

While hypothetical, it is an intersting option. Will Konami have the guts to avoid EA syndrome & actually risk missing a year to create a game to surpass all others? I for one would be glad if they did.

GUTS?? its business!!! releasing a game that surpasses all others has already been achieved hence why most play pes!!!! The ps3 version has been rushed out thats the only problem so next year the game will hopefully be back to being better!!!!

Im a happy pes2008 ps2 player its brill and each year they have improved little by little!!!

I would say yes if they had delayed pes 2008 by a year to get the multi format and next gen issues sorted out but after that they need to get a new game out annually.
We are talking about a football game here, besides updating for transfers and kits. What about stadia and menu screens and general gameplay?
I would get bored with the same footy game with only updates for 2 years.

Of course you're happy, PS2 version is PES 6 with a couple of extra whistles & knobs.

The next-gen version is a whole new kettle of fish. Once more for your delight, edification and obvious ignorance, i said hypothetical.

Some company's do delay releases for the same reasons, to improve, iron out flaws etc. Sometimes it makes a better game because of it.

Remember, this is just peoples thoughts on a hypothetical situation.
