So what edition is everyone buying then? And where from?
I'm in quite a dilemma here at the moment. There's a few different editions flying around, at different prices. We have the standard WWE '12 video game available on all sites it seems for the price of around £34.99.
However,
Zavvi have WWE '12 (with The Rock DLC) available for the very reasonable price of £37.95 (not forgetting TopCashback or Quidco will knock a couple of pounds off too - as well as with other sites).
Then there is
Amazon, who are selling WWE '12 with The Rock DLC, but also including DLC for The Miz, such as extra attires, for the price of £39.71.
Now, alternatively, there is
Play selling The People's Edition for £44.99 - which includes The Rock on the front cover, as well as a nice fancy sleeve for the case. Also included is I assume a mini-poster of The Rock, a trading card of The Rock, and also a WWE DVD with matches from 'Greatest Superstars of The 21st Century'. What's confusing about this particular release, is that the WWE DVD is usually a 3-disc set, valued at around £15, however there only seems to be one of the discs included in this People's Edition (I assume disc 2, as the number '2' is written on the front of the DVD). Still, it seems like a fair price, for what is essentially a slightly more fancy edition.
The bottom line is, I think I'll be asking for it as a Christmas present. I can't really afford to be stumping up full price for a game at the moment, so instead, I can just wait a few weeks and receive it as a nice gift. This ultimately means that delivery isn't exactly a major issue, as receiving it on release day isn't a big deal. I'm just stuck as to which particular edition to ask for. After seeing Survivor Series, I'm pretty adament that I want to be able to play as The Rock, instead of having to wait months for the DLC to be released (for those who only bought the standard edition). However, having The Miz's alternate attires might be quite cool too, and for very little extra cost - while on the other hand, Play's The People's Edition looks great in terms of artwork, and I'm sure I'd watch the bonus DVD too.
Thoughts guys?
:hmm:
