WTF Player Overall 101!!!

I came to a game against argentina... when cheking the other team ratings Messi has overall 101 ( one hundred and one!!!) What the fuck is this?

I am the third season in BAL mode.
I manage to get contracted by Real Madrid but for some reason all the good players left and the average rating of the players are between 75-80. The teams classification are probably on their ranking position last year and not on the players they have.

Another thing... after the second season i've noticed all good players are concentrated in the main teams (even with normal tradings level). And these teams have ~100% performance in their leagues.

They could at least TEST the game before releasing it.
but overall 101 !!!! what the fuck?!

It goes to 109, went to 110 on the last PES....

If players are progressing it's neccesary because i think Drenthe gets 90 odd overall after a couple of seasons, he's be close to messi's overall if it went to 99 or 100 and he's no way near as good and probably never will be. I think it's to keep more realistic differences between player ability...

sorry but "to keep more realistic"... with players that are MORE than perfect... it's way out of realism! In my oppinion our custom players should be able to at some point reach the same overall of a superstar.

the stats in PES are arbitrary units. that's why some stats like condition and other foot ability only go to 8, and injury goes from A-C. player rating goes to 110 or whatever. no need to get your panties in a bunch about it.

i used to complaint about the players transfers too in BAL, i.e after the 3rd season, you would noticed half of the Barcelona team are filled with average players with ratings around 70+. i would think this is well above realistic.

BUT, soon i realized one thing. Realistic aside, how the hell the AI is going determined if the team decided to buy who or how one particular player decided which team to go? I don't know, maybe someone would say conveniently tats up to Konami to figure that out.

But in real life, teams buy players according to many factors, be it coaches, club presidents, budget, or youth policy matter. For players, they go to teams on various reasons as well, like club loyalty, chances of playing, as captain, wages etc. At times, some players might be legend to certain clubs at one time, but in one twist of incident, might also join the rival teams.

I really doubt how the hell the AI are capable of determining these...as for now, i just give a smile and continued playing PES like a GAME!!!

Obviously you believed that the abilities where equivalent of percent, and obviously you where wrong. Your BAL player can reach same level as Messi as well, no worries.

I would expect that for each team is given an ammount of "money" that they can spend with players... also by winning tournaments they would get extra money.

and each team AI has the simple task to evaluate the cost/benefit of hiring players. Any simple trading-agent algorithm would increase a lot the gameplay in this sense.

You can see that the "years of contract" doesn't have any reason.
when we sign a contract with some team we should have something like
"termination fine"... as in real life.

konami should know that when we play these simulating modes care about these details that are quite simple to implement.


about the statistics over 100 i didnt know it was possible.
last version i played of pes was the 2008 (more than 10 seasons in Bal mode). i skiped 2009... the gameplay was terrible!

lol, I've signed to Real Madrid in my third season, and found that almost any of the current good players were there. But anyway, they had a better team
Cech, Terry, Puyol, Maicon, Marcelo, Gerrard, Lennon, Maxi Rodriguez, Iniesta, Verón, and me.
It's a pretty good team! The only thing that kinda sucks, it's the fact that Iniesta can be injured almost for an entire season =(

I thought it only went to 99 lol. It's good that they have managed to make the best players get even better, just to show that even though other players can get better, they'll still be behind the greats.
