Aye that pissed me off as I was intending on using Elijah Burke or CM Punk. I was then planning on using MVP, but he can't even be used, either. So my first superstar choice will be Edge.

I'll just make the sim league and see how succesful it gets. I mean it wasn't bad at the start last year, but for some reason everyone lost interest in it completely. Well, worth a shot.

Anyone bought this then? I think I'm going to get it next week. Despite its flaws, I still need my wrestling game fix. : 0

There's rumours flying about that WWF no mercy will be getting re-released on the Wii's virtual console thingy, with updated rosters! I reckons it's bull-shit myself, but we can always pray.

Yeah, got the game.

It's really good, actually. In terms of gameplay. ECW Extreme Rules match is great but can be a tiny bit laggy at times, but I reckon that's just because all of the superstars in the match tend to go outside and select their choice of a weapon.

Have they sorted out the countering system? I used to prefer playing single player to multiplayer, as countering was so easy, it became a counter-into a counter-into another counter-countered again, and again, against human players. The AI wasn't strong enough to make it enough of a challenge against the computer, but it beat having almost every move countered.

Also, I don't suppose you're able to edit rosters (for Exhibition mode) and the superstar's wrestling method (i.e technical, brawler etc) are you?

This game looks so great. I might have to wait until Christmas to get this, spent up my pocket money on the two football games :) Ah well, it was worth it.

I used to be so into wrestling, I had about 40 DVDs on it, but I have gradually lost interest. All about football now. However, the games are always great. I actually thought last years was brilliant, so I will most likely be blown away by this years. Some very good reviews, a lot over 90%, out of 100%. Definitley a game to buy, it looks amazing. Can not wait to get this for the Xbox 360 :) Can not wait. A different experience after ages of playing football games, as Arsenal.

The continuous countering still occurs. But there is an option that allows you to select the AI's countering system. You can choose how regular counters happen for grapples, finishers, diving attacks etc.

I haven't looked into the create/edit mode much, but I don't think you can edit rosters for exhibition mode (Though right now, everyone is on the right brand in exhibition. It's the roster before the draft for season though, i.e. Nitro on Raw, Kennedy on Smackdown etc).

Not sure if you can change their fighting styles either. Each superstar has two different fighting styles and you choose to use one before a match begins. So if I am ever fighting HHH, I would select him to use his other fighting style (though I can't remember what it is. I think in is either brawler or technical) and not the powerhouse one, because that's not realistic. Won't be able to do this for season though, or shall I say the 24/7 mode.

It's turning out to be a good game so far. But like many Smackdown games, you may just get bored of it after a a month or two.

I've plated it round my mates, and its brilliant, i like the ECW Extreme rules match and some of the countering where if you are in a headlock, sleeper ect, a little padlock appears and to get out of the move you have to unlock it, and i like that you can pick weapons aswell, and if you do a elimination chamber ect ect, the arenas you can pick have to be PPV's which is good. But some matches that i felt have to be in this like the Extreme Elimination Chamber, Stretcher match ect ect, might buy this game looks good.

You can actually. Just go to your "Superstar Info" page, and press "X" or "[]" if your on a PS3/PS2.

And aye it's a good game. I've unlocked most stuff already. Got Rick Rude, Bret Hart, Austin, Rock, Funk, Sabu, Foley, Shane and JBL. Me and my cousin had a good Extreme Rules match on Friday. He was a tag team partner to me, as I was Sandman, he was Sabu. We were facing Cryme Tyme. It really seemed good using the hardcore fighting style, as it's unique from the rest of the fighting styles. Match wen't on for about half an hour or more, and we came out on top as I sent Shad through a flaming table, may I add, that was his second one that he had been through during the match.

Has anyone noticed you can do conchairtos in normal matches without getting DQ'd?

The game is decent, like all wrestling games nowadays, it'll be fun for about 2 weeks or so. Should of got Mass Effect.

Got this on Friday been rotating between that and Pro Evo all of yesterday, it's a quality game though it seems 24/7 mode is very in-depth and a bit repetitive, and it may well get boring before you master it.

On a side note, how is setting tables on fire done?

Once you do one year in 24/7, you'll get the same storylines over and over. What they seem to have done is do one storyline as the champ and another one as a contender.

To set the table on fire, you must have full momentum (when your bar is flashing) and then press your finisher button (I'm not sure what it is for 360 [triangle for PS3]) when you're next to the table.

Same :p And yeah, I hate the animations you get every few events, like when you walk past and ignore everyone, or when you walk past and are nice to everyone, or when you're doing weights, or when you walk into the girls changing room, it's those 4 over and over again, and it's quite silly sometimes, i.e. I was teaming with Roddy Piper one night, and the animation came up and I ignored Piper, who was my partner.

But apart from that I love it, have always loved the WWE Games, ever since the good ol' WWE Attitude for the PS1 :D

Thanks a lot Joel.

Any hints on how to put them through tables? :S

I've tried a few times, but when I grapple them and throw them against the side of the table and let them rest there, none of the moves put them through it (that I've tried)
