This info should be in the first post of this thread.
Yes, you can use your whole PC hardk disk as a memory card to store all your saves. And transfer them back to your mem card when you need them.

========

I bought a USB extension cable on Saturday! No more moving my PS2.
Hmmm, we'll see about the Max Drive sometime soon anyways....

I've always played PES series but haven't tried WE before. Considering this and in order to save some time translating heaps of player names from japanese to english I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand choosing the right WE7 option file to downdoad. Thanks guys

X-port is just a interface and a software, you can't store anything on a X-port, you can use a X-port to store saves on your CPU.

I know this has been asked many times before, but I don't feel like sorting through all 40 pages, is the X-port compatible with sharkport .sps files? I'm thinking of getting one, but with the exception of WE7 I, most files available for other games here in USA are .sps, and I'm not sure I want one just for WE7.

Yes you can delete files from your memory card. But you may need some files again at a later date. Do you delete all of your PES/WE goals? Some people like to keep them. With an X-Port, you don't need to buy new memory cards to save them to.

Plus you can download option files where others have done the hard work of editing the game while you sit back and transfer the file (which is free) onto your mem card and then play the game. Weeks of editing saved.

the only pes game ive got at the moment is PES 2 and since im looking forward to getting pes 4 i dont want to waste so muj memory on an older game in the series so the onli thing saved on my mem card is one goal and a master league. I dont understand those numbers from 1-35/36.are those the option files. i dont think i would buy an X-port for the sake of just saving goals but if it means that i wouldnt need anemore mem cards then maybe i would buy it.

Question to evry1: what dus evry1 do with their mem cards when they become full?

Oh snap... :(

I've just installed my new X-Port v2 on my PC (using Win XP) and I've plugged both USB's (1 to PS2 and 1 to PC, both attached to the X-Port "box"). BUT... once I run the X-Port v2 application, click on the "Saves" tab and then on "Mem Card" button, it starts loading, but after a bit, I get this error (yes, it's in Norwegian, but it's like all other MS errors):

http://www.elgen.net/pes4/pictures/xportv2.gif

Does anyone got ANY idea on HOW to fix this so I can load my mem. card to my PC? And nah, it's not possible to ask CodeJunkies, as they have taken down the forums! :( I've tried reinstalling and all, but I still get the same damn error.

Perhaps a reinstallation of Windows XP would work, or?

Thankies in advance!

Prob with my X-port

Got it for x-mas!

First off id like to say that I am sorry if someone else had this prob and it was resolved but it says over 20 pages i think i dont really want to read all that kinda lazy and want an answer fast!

Finally today i played around with it... Only one thing that i can complain about it, it wont work.

Ok, I Connected everything, installed everything. had a usb error and then i switched the box that it connects through to the ps2 and started working!

Then i clicked on a file made sure it had a check beside it then clicked backup. Usually 1 of 3 things happen.
1. An error occured windows has to close it send an error report? Exactly like elgen's problem but it says it in english.. heheh

2. Everything works it seems fine shows the animation but the bar doesnt do any coloring just remains blank. Then it seems like it works but then go to the pc to look for the save i supposedly uploaded it doesnt show, go to program files and to the x-port folder and savedgames folder and i see nothing.

3. A message pops up saying something like Please reread the memory card after changing it? and then click OK

And it usually doesnt display all the files on my memory card.. i bet i have like 20kb or so free or less.. its not entirely full... but almost.

Perhaps i should've picked the Sharkport (I Saw quite a few bad reviews though so i chose x-port).. after all i dont have a AR only a Gameshark.. but i dont care much for it i only care about trasfering my saves to a pc so i dont have to keep deleting game saves to get more room for new games. And yes i did have my gameshark cartidge in one of the memory card slots but then thought that that might have something to do with it so i removed it and still didnt work... And i have restarted my PC like 3 or so times.

Is a game save or something corrupted on my memory card or something is doing this?

Guys, Plz help. And id appreciate a non simple answer because then id feel pretty stupid not figuring it out myself if it was so simple.

What's the error message?

Some suggestions:
Make sure the PS2 x-port disk is ready before trying to transfer (by leaving it in for about a minute). Click on the memory card tab and tick a box for a single file and click backup. Does it show a transfer bar?

Just like to say, Thx for helping I Appreciate it!

Ok, tried leavin it in for a while a minute or so and still didnt work.... Kinda relieved about it.... otherwise id feel pretty stupid.

Anyway im attaching the error messages and also the 1st one is when i try to transfer a file from a memory card to my pc there is animation but the bar stays the same as in the pic at all times.

The 2nd is when it almost works...

The 3rd is from windows... i doubt i need to put it up but oh well..
