I am seriously tempted to buy a controller adaptor for £70 so i can use my PS3 controller on the XBox, it really is a poorly constructed controller.

Maybe because people have grew up using the Playstation controller and can't get used to the shitty Xbox one?

I'm exactly the same, and its one of the main reasons i've not got an Xbox anymore.

Think outside the box Daniel-san :nath:

It's your little girls hands, is what it is :joel:

The PS3 pad is perfect for sports games, fighters and platform games, but playing a shooter on it just feels very wrong.

Has anyone traded in the old model for a "slim" yet then?

I'm thinking about it, but I only have an arcade model with a 120GB HD. I expect I'd have to pay at least £120 which doesn't seem worth it.

And I know in America some game stores allowed customers to transfer over all their old saves free of charge. Any ideas if the same applies here?

One of my mates works for Grainger Games and of the 10+ Xbox 360 slims they've sold, they've had 2 back already, broke. It seems there's a couple of common problems with them according him. Sometimes the console just turns itself off and often refuses to actually turn back on. Another, more worrying one is the disc tray jamming, obviously if you've got a game inside chances are it won't stay in good condition. Of course the console comes with warranty, but from what he was telling me it just isn't worth it.

Bummer. The main reasons I wanted to trade is there's the likes of Halo, Fallout and Gears coming out within the next 6 or so months, plus some older games I want to go back and play. I could really do without my current model red-ringing and losing it for a month or so.

I guess I'll hold off until Christmas and see what the general opinion on their reliability is, plus there'll no doubt be some festive deals around.

Does that explain the disc tray becoming stuck and consequently eating discs? Course not. I'm an Xbox 360 owner, and I think it's an enjoyable console, I've not even set eyes on purchasing a PS3, but the fact is, consoles are built like shit nowadays. Fact.
