so tempted by this. i think i will at some point. it makes me want to play through from the beginning with the original combat evolved.

what i usually do when a sequel comes out, like rainbow six vegas, is pick up the original and play through it and by the time i finished it i can pick up the new one pre owned a bit cheaper.

i dont just do this to save money, i also like to remember the story line properly before getting into the next instalment. although lately there arent that many games released where you need to bother with having played the previous one.

Halo ODST's got me interested on Firefight mode which people it's awesome.

I played Firefight in HMV yesterday with some guy from college. It wasn't bad, not as fun as Gear's Horde mode, but you could certainly lose a couple of hours on it. I'm not planning on buying the game, but I will be buying a new XBOX soon and chances are all the bundles will include it.

Anyone tried the Forza or Brutal Legend demos yet?

Forza 3 is pretty good, Brutal Legends is only on the US marketplace, atm you can only get it in the UK with a code.

My old one kept freezing and refused to read games, but that wasn't covered under the warranty so I tried overheating it with a hair-dryer and radiator so it got the RROD, but I ended up getting distracted and when I came back the back had melted. :faceplm:

i've done this whilst making toast (under the grill tho, not on the radiator) and been gutted, i can only imagine the thoughts you had when returning to see it.

Anyone tried the Forza or Brutal Legend demos yet?

Forza 3 demo is far too small!!! Thouroughly enjoyed it though, great feel to it and the track in the demo is both beautiful to behold and a joy to thrash round.

Definate purchase on release day. Been far too long waiting for a top class driving game.
