Can anyone please advise on how long players stay in the youth team? Also interested to know how they develop in the youth team?

I have recently promoted a couple of 16 year olds, but on reflection they are not going to get in my team- might I have been better leaving them in the youth team?

Put them in your loan list if you'e fussed up about it. Or when better players are tired, rotate your squad so the youngsters get to play.
Or if you are versing an easy team, play your youngsters like teams do in real life or unimportant matches. If only youth team players can improve by playing reserve matches instead of them being unhappy on the bench every match

Not sure about this year but in PES 2011 if they got past 20 years old they would then bugger off somewhere. When i get a half decent player in my Youth team I usually bring them up and through them out on loan.

They improve on loan and also while still in the youth team.

In PES 2011, noone improved on loan or they improved very little. It was better to keep them, especially in standard growth

Some don't improve, it depends where they go, I used to get, back in PES2011 this is, teams the like of Liverpool, Barca, Arsenal etc coming in for players on loan who were 60 overall rating, why i don't know, if they went there they would never get a game so ofc they would never improve.

I do remember I had one of those random superstars in my youth team turn up a LB with overall stats of 80, unfortunately for him my team was awesome by this point with most 1st team players with OA stats of 90 or above, so he would rarely if ever get a game so I sent him out on loan to Real Madrid for a season. As any good manager, I kept an eye on him to see how he was doing and he was figuring in almost all their games Champions league as well and when he returned his stats had gone up to 86.

He still wasn't good enough though so back to Real Madrid he went. lol

But in PES 2011, if you don't play your players on standard growth, they still grow regardless of peformances.

On the subject of the youth team, has anyone come across any of the classic ML youths such as Kaiser, Bos, Chapi, Orellano etc. in PES 2012? The only ones I have found are the ones such as Shimizu and Palmieri who you start off with in your youth team.

I'm mid-way through my second season and was expecting to see a few familiar names coming into my youth team, but instead I got loads of reborn players who retired the previous season...

I used to enjoy finding the gems amongst these young players in previous PES incarnations, and I think it'd be a shame if Konami have put them out to pasture.

Hi, I'v experienced the same concerns. I did like 5-6 seasons of Master League and I would await with eager anticipation the Master League youths that would be available in the January transfer window. Yet they never appeared! All I got was reborn retired players.

The thing is I remember one of the many times I started Master League and then quit to start again that there was 18-19 year old player who was has like 95 overall skill who must have been a Master League created player. He was spanish, played as a cm (I think) and could've been the famous Chapi (if I recall right). I soo wanted to have that player playing for me but I havn't come across a single excellent youth player since.

Someone mentioned in this thread I think that you need to get rid of some players in your youth team to make available space for other players to be spawned into. Because of this I restarted my Master League and hopefully I get some of these players. I'm relying on these kinda players to appear because its so hard to sign players of good ability in this years Master League.

I'm now 6 seasons into my master league, and I've come to the conclusion that the classic ML youths are no longer in the game. If you did indeed see Chapi pop up that would restore all my faith. Was he in your youth team at the start, or was he a free agent of some kind? I've only started a few master leagues, and each time the starting youth team members were the same.

The only element of "creativity" that I've noticed in the youths that pop up is sometimes the game mixes one real player's name, face etc with another real player's stats / positions / skill cards. For example I've got a player caller Gilhowenger who had in his description in the youth team that "something about him reminds me of Kaka". By which I think it means he just has Kaka's stats.

If you get one of these players in January the coach points it out when he comes to talk at you in your office.

Also, all the starting squad players for WE United and PES United seem to come back with unbelievable stats. Chigrat's 16 yr old self in the second season is 100 I think, and the others seem to be up around there as well. You can usually buy them muc more easily than a similar real world player with these kinds of stats

I think certain youth players stay due to age and what not. I am thinking of calling up a few and loaning a few players come the summer when my second season is over.

I have loaned 2 players overall, Macheda in my first season who played very little games but still increased by 1 point ovr. In my second season i loaned Hernandez as he had no form for me at all, plus it meant i could play Macheda and Keane a bit more.
