thank you zyg, but I wasn't unraring a ppf? I have to open winrar as it comes in a rar.

If I am downloading the file from lomungtung (which I have done twice) and it is corrupt, how do I get an un-corrupted file, as this is the only place to get it?

Sorry about the misunderstanding but from your post it did sound like you first had a ppf and then were using Winrar.
I've never received a corrupt file from lomungtung so i'm not sure.
Guess you could try to get it again. Leave it to download overnight and don't run any other programs?

Try using a different program like download Acc Plus or Flash XP(corect me if im wrong) or cute ftp.
