Animation (and associated software)

I downloaded this yesterday at work and had a quick go at animating something while I was waiting for something to render for a while. Gonna make some more today, but this software is so so easy to use and fairly quick results too! It's pretty much what I'd call a pixel flick-book - You can only use black and white but you can really make some very cool animations...

it is fun but it's pretty hard to come up with quick simple ideas without resorting to killing stick men hehe

Ive been working on one at work over the past couple of days - as in while I've been waiting for stuff to do at work... It's noting amazing but it's helping me understand it... Will post when I've done

sorry im utterly useless with this i seem to have an army of...erm..yeah...stickmen using their spam javelins and bacon torpedos etc
as you can imagine...not good!

Just quickly did a running lion to get the feel of how to do animals running... For a first attempt at anything like this I'm pretty pleased with the outcome!

I love that video, all these animations you've shared with us infact.

What did you use to create that video, dude?

I enjoy using Photoshop and have often wondered how to make animated graphics, I shall have to give this a try

Nicely done kev. I love the expressions. I had to do an animation this year and planned on doing something similar to this (animating over a piece of dialogue from a film) but when I learned the animation had to be over 90 seconds I dropped the idea, because 90 seconds of frame by frame animation would've been an impossible task in the time frame I had. I might post it in here sometime.
