The Konami Cup!!!!

Oh yes, the Konami Cup. What happened to the Konami Cup? I read somewhere that it's only available in online mode. Well what about those of us who don't play online? PLEASE BRING BACK THE KONAMI CUP. I miss creating my own custom tourney.

I think Community Mode was supposed to be the surrogate, but I believe in Community mode you can only have single or two leg elimination and not a round robin group stage. But you should check into it - I was setting it up to play a FA cup with EPL and NPOWER combined but that was months ago and forget the options....perhaps you can choose a group stage.

Totall onboard with this. I used to like doing custom tourneys and stuff. Especially seems as though the European Championship is now a 24 team affair and they haven't updated it. Or what about the Home Nations or Confederations Cup? Or just a cup of your own design!

You can do everything you guys have stated you want in Community Mode. Round Robin Group Stage is included, number of teams, etc...you even get to name the cup, so name it the Konami Cup if you like.

So you don't have to wait until PES 2012-pop in PES 2011 and do it if you like

But u need to be online in order to play in the community mode right?

You can be offline. The menus are a little strange at first, you have to set yourself up as a community user. Don't go directly into play match on the first screen (I think this is an online choice); start a custom cup or custom league on the second or third menu choice. Wish i was in front of my PS3 right now to guide you correctly but was using community mode last night for custom group stage tournament.

Important note is when you add yourself as the single user in your community list go ahead and dig around in there to find some personal settings - your cursor switch settings here will be different then what you have set on the overall system settings. This move took me longer than I wanted to figure out.

^^Matt, Not sure how so? I felt like it was "engineered for freedom". 2-32 teams of choice; single elim., double leg, or group stage.

One very odd thing in a group stage tournament that happened two times last night, each during the second game of the group stage, is that I suddenly had globes substituted for all condition arrows. My entire team was on crystal meth but so was the other side. I should have slowed the game to -1, or -2 because I lost easily each time. My passes were so strong they kept bouning off their recipients. It was like playing Pinball.
