New Cursor Switching

For me the biggest flaw in Pes 2011 was the cursor switching. All the other little niggles I could deal with but the switching was awful, bordering on gamebreaking. The amount of times I lost a game because of silly defensive switching when the AI felt like it

Thats why I was delighted to hear they implemented a new system that will hopefully work. I do believe it will make or break 2012. I would have no problem with pes 2011 if the cursor worked.

And to my question.. Does anyone know exactly how the new system will work with the right stick with detail? Will you be controlling two players at once or what? Details anyone..

Nope, you just flick the right analogue stick to select a player as you do on FIFA. Simple.

Do you cycle through the players one by one with the R stick till you land the cursor on the one you want to switch to or are you pointing it at the player you want to select?

From what I've read, its pointing it in the direction of the players.

I can see it work very well whilst defending.. ability to cycle through your defence when your opponent runs at you will make it a lot easier to stop the attack.

Its when YOU are attacking though I'm unsure of how it will work. Cursor on the ball carrier, right stick to select another player to make a run while still controlling ball carrier?? Could get messy, and I'm dreading what it'll be like online if there is button delay like 2011. Hopefully online will be exactly like offline this year with same game speed and no awful button reflex.

The L1 cursor change should be kept, since it should be used in attack and changing to the player closest to the ball, something that PES 2011 system seemed too dumb to understand. I have had players 10 yards away from the ball running towards the ball and a player a yard to the ball just standing silly lol

or the number of times you couldn't get to an easy rebound goal of your own because you player just stood there looking into the stands
