New Layout

Hey, just want to comment on two things I noticed with the new layout.

First, I dont like to open a new browser when I go to the forums. Why do I need to open a new browser?

Second, I am getting this ad on the left side of my screen that blocks the "New Thread" button, here is a screen capture of what I am talking about.

The black notes on the left, besides that I am fine with the new design.

Personally speaking, I'm not a fan.

I think it looks dated, and for a website of this size, it's just not up to standard. We need a fresh, modern look for PESGaming, and this facelift already looks 5 years old.

I don't want to criticise Dan Bolas for putting in some effort, but with respect to Matt Holme, money needs to be spent in order to achieve an adequate standard of design. If the site design was right, then it would be money well spent as it wouldn't need changing again for quite some time. As it stands, I think PESGaming needs a facelift...again.

Sorry to be the one to voice it, but I had to speak up.

I think the font and background image definitely make it look outdated.

Front page is as Thomas said not up to scratch. I suspect its a question of investment which in turn baffles me as to why he (Matt Holme) has declined investment offers. PESGaming is part of a larger network of sites and although the most dated in appearance it provides decent revenue activity to not be absorbed into another of the networks sites. In that instance it seems to me what was spent is considered to be value for what it generates.

Its disappointing.

It's just an edited wordpress theme, a free wordpress theme as well. So I doubt any money was spent on it.

I work for a privately owned motorway service station. It's falling apart, the petrol pumps are nearly in a state of antiquity, and people complain about the poor standard of provision all the time.

The guy that owns it is a multi-millionaire, and could easily afford to bring it up to date. Why doesn't he? Because he can just leave it and forget about it and it keeps generating money with low overheads.

Over the years i've completely forgot there was an actual homepage. I never visit it and my chrome favourite button (and opera and firefox et al al the way back)just takes me to the forum.

Sounds like the business down the block from me. Delineated POS. The grounds were so bad an employee fell through an open man hole cover and died. Sad thing was it was this Albanian kid no older than 18 working nights so he could pay for his education. People who dont reinvest in their business to the state where it becomes a shit hole piss me off...

The forums don't work on an iPad. The footer is overlaid half way down the page and the ad block is always on top of the first post in a topic. I saw the notification that there's an app for these types of forums but I prefer to use a browser.
