Matt did say he would upgrade to 3.8.7 soon but hasn't got round to it yet it seems.

Call me a worthless cynic but I do not believe Matt is familiar with the concept of 'soon'

Yes, I'm getting tired of having to chase him up just to get things done. It seemed like he was actually taking an interest in the site when he sorted out a new front page and upgraded the server.

The server upgrade, fair enough, but the front page is frankly an abysmal attempt at improvement. As Rainey said, its a free word press template. Considering how much more activity this site has compared to the other Soccergaming forums I dare say there is a spot of 'leaching' going on.

Considering how much had been done in the previous few years it was at least something. Sweey did more to improve the site in that period than Matt.

What is curious is that Matt won't even consider offers for the site, well certainly not for a return of the revenue it generates in advertising. I think perhaps the subject needs to be broached with him as to whether he has any serious long term objectives for the site ... or whether he's just going to deny the site to progress.
