Apparently some L.A. police finally caught up with Rodney at his house and finished the job they began over twenty years ago, throwing him into his pool to make it seem as though he drowned. A sad day if anyone gave a shit. Took a hellacious beating but got a swimming pool out of it. Seems fair. |

According to the fiance's close friends, they've contacted police to notify them that her story has actually changed over the course of telling different people. Rodney King had, according to his fiance, been drinking and smoking weed that night/early morning, and was knocking on the house's back glass doors at 5am. She apparently didn't let him in, but soon after heard a splash from outside and immediately rushed out to find Rodney King lifeless and apparently dead at the bottom of the pool. What I find highly suspicious is the notion that Rodney King drowned instantly, given she's stated she ran outside immediately upon hearing the splash. Not only that, she claims to be a "poor swimmer", which is her reasoning for not jumping in to save him - but we're of course talking about a fairly small backyard pool here, not an ocean, so the notion of being too afraid to jump into a few feet of water in order to save your fiance's life is just ridiculous. But according to police currently, it's still being treated as unsuspicious. Kind of a sad way to go really.
