PlanetAxel declared bankrupt and gone. Rats bollocks. Essentially leaves Movietyme now, who are usually more expensive and not as fast.

I have Bullhead on the way and they appear to have initiated a refund for High Noon.

Amazon are absolute cunts. For some reason they've decided to send my parcel via DPD but I wasn't in to collect it so I've got a calling card from them. Unfortunately it seems I can't re-arrange delivery or change the delivery address as that comes at an extra charge:

"Amazon provides its customers with an Upgraded service, therefore, for Amazon customers, this Upgrade option is not applicable. Because Amazon has already paid for delivery, we do not charge additional fees for redelivery to Amazon customers."

When I try to change the delivery address it says I have to contact Amazon but I don't hold much hope in them sorting it out any time soon. I've only ordered a standard bluray for fuck sake.

If anyone wants the Iron Man Play steelbook pre-order NOW - according to Play's twitter account stock is 'perilously low'. The Marvel steelbooks always do well.

More Hitchcock films coming from Warner. They'll have his whole post 1939-catalogue on Blu-ray before too long. I thought 2012 in Blu-ray would be Spielberg's year but the fat bald cunt has him beat.

Looking at blu-ray.com it seems a lot of the US Warner Bros. blu rays are region free, is that correct? I will be buying both if they are only released in the US and are not region locked.

Apparently the Basket Case Trilogy will be the next steelbook release from Second Sight. Re-Animator may follow, which would be most welcome.

Ordered this FNAC digibook since it wasn't released in the US in this packaging and I don't have the film yet. Will go well with the US digibook of the 30s version.

Hit & Miss on bluray. I also got a 3-in-1 DVD set containing Dazed & Confused, How High and Half Baked so either could really be considered #1500.

Last few days I have bought quite a few DVDs/blurays: Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8, Lars von Trier's The Kingdom I & II, Midnight Run, Timecrimes, Dead Ringers, Scars of Dracula, Lust Caution, The Baader Meinhof Complex, Cabaret and The Calamari Wrestler on DVD and The Bridge on the River Kwai, Borgen Series 1, The Muppets and Tower Heist on bluray. I've also ordered Bleeder on DVD and Thelma & Louise on bluray as well as pre-ordering that Classic Monsters boxset on bluray.
