CB: Carles Puyol (Best tackler in the world IMO)

LB: Pablo Armero (Strange for majority but I feel he is very underrated and one of the best)

DMF: Xabi Alonso

AMF: Zinedine Zidane

RMF: Arjen Robben

LMF: Rui Costa

SS or supportive striker : Ronaldinho

CF: Lionel Messi

I probably need a more complete center forward than Messi as the offensive line lack strength but oh well, you have to include Messi in this era let alone any era

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon: A consistently great goalkeeper ever since prizing the gloves from Luca Bucci at Parma all those years ago. There is little he hasn't won.

Centrebacks Franco Baresi and Franz Beckenbauer, bonafide greats.

Full backs, Left Paolo Maldini and Right Javier Zanetti, I plumped for Zanetti because after the guy has been an incredible professional for 21 years now and still has incredible appetite and stamina despite his age.

Midfield three of Andrea Pirlo, Andres Iniesta and Alfredo Di Stefano

A forward line of Lionel Messi, Pele and Maradona

Absurdly tough to pick a team like this.

Since I'd only do a team made up of players I've regularly seen, I'd probably pick the same team as Bammers with two changes. Zanetti for Cafu and Desailly for Cannvaro.

Those players are there purely based on skill and recent memory. Drogba is still one of the biggest cunts the game's ever produced, but he has all the attributes I would ask of a striker. Such a shame. I blame Mouninho.
