How do I become a good striker?

Hi,

I got a striker with 65 overall, with 80 attack, 80 shot power and 91 shot accuracy, but I notice that:

- I barely get the ball in good positions, mostly when I'm already surrounded by three defenders
- Even if I get the ball, I don't have any time to move to a better position to shoot. Instead, I have to shoot right away so I get very inaccurate shots

- Also, I am in a bad team now so mostly the opponent has the ball. If I just wait for the ball nothing will happen so I move to my own goal a bit to defend to get a better rating...
- But then we get the ball and I am too slow to move to the goal properly

I don't have this problems with my national team (Netherlands) because they are actually good. Now it's shit, and because of my team I keep getting bad rates (highest this season is 6.5, mostly 5.5 or 6), and in 9 matches I just had 1 goal and 1 assist, while for the national team I got 2 goals and 1 assist in 8 matches...

What can I do?

If your struggling, I recommend you lower the difficulty...

I did that in my first season but it was way too easy.

Scoring goals was a challenge but my team won with ease each time which became boring and unrealistic, as I became top scorer in the European Cup with an overall of 63...

But can you give me some playtips?

I don't really know how to help you...

What is your Top speed and Dribble Speed etc. You need a bit of pace imo.

Your players Attack rating will manipulate how easily opponents mark you. If you got more than 80, you'll have an easier time finding space against defenders with lower than 80 in Defense, for example.

It's not quite as simple as that, but it's a decent measurement when deciding whether to move on to a tougher league. If you player is quick and technical, you don't usually need much space, so 70 Attack might be enough for example.

Try playing a midfielder, they're generally more effective as a goalscorer than playing a striker in this game, when coming from deep runs into the box.

This topic sounds like my life as an amf, with very low body balance & shot power (about 60 both). It's very tough life to get good ratings, as only goals or passes suffice to the manager.

And with 62 shot power I have t oget to few meters of GK in order to score. Not good.
