Best Web Domain/Hosting Provider?

I'm putting a portfolio online so obviously need a web domain and host.The vast majority of you won't know but which provider would you recommend? I was gonna use 1 & 1 Internet but have been put off by reviews. Hostpapa seems decent.

I use Vidahost. No problems yet. And they have a great response rate.

I'm looking for something along these lines too, also somewhere to try a few bits and bobs out. How are you finding Vidahost, Bish?

I used Hostgator previously and have to say that the whole experience was pretty awful.

As Sweey and Rainey have said, Vidahost are great. I've had my site up for a few months now, not a single issue has come up. Been quick and informative in answering my questions too.
