I know, but he'll give you (should give you) a 1000 yard reciever, which is something you haven't really had for a while. Another weapon that should take a bit of attention away from Forte.

To be fair to Cutler, He hasn't had much help from his offensive line,(though last season was an improvement). I think he's a good QB, and this will be the first season he's had an elite reciever to look to. Got Alshon Jeffery from the draft as well who could contribute.

The division looks tough though with Green Bay and now Detroit a legitimate force.

GB have been a legit force for a couple of years. That plus the rivalry which spices up the games!

Still have my doubts about Cutler. Offensive line issues or not, the guy has tunnel vision when the ball is in his mitts. As much as I hated Grossman, at least he could read the blitz and get out of the way or ditch the ball. Just his actually passing was wank!

Been too long since we had a reliable QB.

Not sure I ever saw anything like this - Mike Wallace holding out, rumor he was offered 5 yr, 42mill contract. His agent said he should sign but Wallace wanted more.

Then total surprise, the Steelers signed our other receiver, Antonio Brown to a 5yr, 42mill contract. Basically they scratched through Wallace's name and inserted Brown. Great move considering the circumstances but still wild to see in plain view someone else getting the deal on a switcheroo.

No way we can sign Wallace to a long-term contract now. The Steelers simply do not carry two 8-mill receivers. So, either wallace signs his one year 2.7m tender or gets nothing but will be a free agent at the end of the season. Just hoping he doesn't pull a vincent jackson and not show up until week 10; that is the min time he has to play to get that 2.7

Number of preseason games kicking off tonight; Green Bay - San Diego on ESPN in the u.s. I will have to search out my steelers on some odd stream. Although I do see the NFL offers preseason streaming pass for all NFL preseason games for $20. Not a bad price.

I am sure Bish already heard about Chad Johnson being cut from Miami after head butting his wife during an arugement over a receipt for condoms. I do wonder whose receipt it was.

Rookie QBs Luck and Tannehill both looked sharp in their debuts.

for me, the steelers preseason opener was same old story from last year. Opening drive, Ben sacked twice and had to scramble twice within 16 plays he was involved in. At least the scrambles ended up with big completions as he is a master in producing. We need some protection for this guy.
