Good point on Pam, IronCity. She could be playing them, but why? What's her angle? What does she gain? She's never struck me as someone with an agenda.

In any case, Pam and Tara's union is a recipe for some explosive shit right there.

Also, I'm glad the Guardian obliterated that little turd. I needed to see him pull some ruthless act. He seems way too soft as a vampire boss, for my liking. Russel and the Queen were far more menacing and depraved.

Why did they have to kill the Queen off anyway? I miss her. She was proper stuff...

the only thing Pam would gain imo, if she is a firm believer of the cause. she has always disdained humans. I think it was a long stretch as I do think the writer would rather stick to Pam being indebted to Eric. Eric might have to vanquish his sister before this is all over.

Before the season started I said I was hoping for no new monsters. The smoke monster is just ridiculous. The fairy night club even worse. All this show needs is vampires, nothing else. so glad breaking bad is back on so I can put this one on the back burner.

I've not seen it yet, I'm watching it later. I'm guessing I ought to be wary of some ridiculous turn of events. I do get the feeling that this season has a touch of blade about it, building up to an uber Vampire appearance.

well I am an old grump, that is true, but my younger wife who absolutely loves the show rolled here eyes last night. Every season has that one episode that is just bad, but this is more than that to me. It is the events....smoke monster and fairy nightclub did me in from last week alone.

For a second I thought Liluth had returned, then I realised it was a group hallucination due to the drinking of her blood. It wasn't as stupid as I expected, athough the CGI was a bit naff. It was good to see Godric back as well, like the Dad in Dexter, Godric is very much Eric's moral compass. I must admit I've been underwhelmed by the Authority, basically a small rabble of Vampires with a Guardian, as characters its hard to give a shit about them. I think the main problem is that the Authority was made to sound like an all powerful association in earlier series, however the realisation of their grandeur has been somewhat drab. The Authority ought to have been a huge assembly of Vampires as the senate was in Star Wars. Still, fingers crossed that it has a decent enough finale

Iron mentioned it before about the Rev Steve ... I've got to admit, how the blazes is this character all of a sudden an integral part of the authority?!? It was a bit of a stretch to see him replace Nan Flanangan, but to effectively be considered on a par with chancellors? Come on now!

In one of the first episodes of the season, Jessica was shopping and then she caught the scent of some chap and chased him into a field..... what the hell became of that? Was he a fairy?

I'm with you Sminky. they are stretching that, although your point above shrouded in spoiler garb also point out the entire authority is pretty lame. and Russell - they just ruined him for me.

on the cinematic side, Godric could be something other than a poor transparent image. Looks like 1970s disney movie when he is around. ever see Escape from Witch Mountain.

I've got to admit, Denis O'Hare's performance as Russell Edgington is one of the highlights of the series for me, he has the stroke of the vaudevillian about him. I can see why he would irritate some but I think he's character brings some welcome "fuck yeah! lets have some fun!".

On reflection, Godric does seem a bit of a Obi Wan Kenobi rip off. Although I still think he's a decent character regardless of how he is used.
