Yeah, that's how you have to think of it. If you're lucky to get a good player for £3m, then it almost gives you licence to overspend, to ensure you get the players you want.

Not yet, but I'm pretty sure on who I'll be bidding on. I've also got a list of 6, with a top 3 in mind. I like to leave bids as late as possible.

Does the player list marry up to my list in terms of order?

Because if it does, it'll make it a lot easier to calculate player value as the season goes on.

True, Jobi's assist record over the years has been impressive, and that's excluding the leniency of the Telegraph's 'key contribution' points system. I'm fairly confident that Jobi will perform well this season, not to mention, £7.2m is hardly breaking records as far as price tags go. You do what you feel is right as a manager for 'your' team, in order for the players to fit into 'your' system.

If I didn't sign Jobi, and another manager did, before then offering me Jobi for £7.2m. I'd buy him again.

I'm just a little disappointed that he was my only signing during the previous midfield window.

I'm looking forward to this next window though, if I can add another strong striker or two to fit alongside Luis Suárez and Danny Graham, I'm sure Team Rocket supporters will be elated.

Most importantly, Jobi McAnuff has excellent secondary school calibre.

I think me and him overlapped by a year, possibly two. From what I remember he was average.

Willing to trade one of my top tier players for player + cash. You'll have a bigger chance however if you give me 2 decent players in return

By top-tier players I am speaking of Bale, Vermaelen, and Toure.

my wife's laptop diied so she stole mine to work this evening; any idea how to submit a message in the chatbox using ps3; I just keep going back and forth between the on-screen keyboard each time I hit enter or screen keyboard or my plastic keybaord

ba, welbeck, and winkles. that is what i get when my wife ruins my bidding concentration by rushing down the step in need of my laptop. literally right in the midst of bidding; I panicked, spent so much money, I will be fielding trade or cash offers, but I won't be able to address them until tomorrow or very late when you guys will be likely sleeping......except for hunter. My laptop becomes availab le in about 1 hour
