What do you prefer?

France are through to the last 16 and it made me think how there have been few shocks and big teams going out early. In 2002 we had a lot of surprise packages Senegal, Korea, USA, Turkey, Japan (slightly) The only 2 real surpise packages so far have been Ghana and Australia (maybe Ecuador) non of the big established teams have been beaten (yet). I was expecting either Holland or Argentina to go out early, but no both advanced safetly. So do you like seeing the big boys getting shocked by teams you dont expect or do you like seeing the big teams and the big names doing well and entertaining us with exciting football?

I like seeing the big names performing but i like underdogs giving us a breath of fresh air.

I like to see the big teams go through, France vs Spain whets my appetite a lot more than South Korea vs Spain, despite the fact the match could well be dull.

Hopefully it would be a good game mind. I'd rather see a top quality game between two familiar quality teams, than a top quality game between two lesser known underdogs.

Entertainment it is for me, well being an Argyle fan I use nationals as a luxurious getaway but seeing the underdog putting the shitters up some arrogant big names always brings a smile to my daft lips

I like to see the teams that really go for it and fight and play well, go through.
I would have much prefered it if South Korea went through, instead of France, cause the French team has been pathetic this tournament. I dont even enjoy watching them.
I also wouldnt have mind England going out. Same reason as with France: they play shite while they have so much potential.
England and France were just very very lucky to have been in quite easy groups.

Even Holland, and I'm Dutch, hasnt entertained me, and if I'm objective I feel that for the neutral viewers it would have been better if Ivory Coast would have gone through...

So for me it really depends on how a certain team plays and how much I enjoy watching them, that decides if I'd like to see them go through.

I like seeing little teams doing well as otherwise it would all be too predictable.

I like a combination of all of those. It's nice to see an upset but only if the smaller deserve to win. Likewise, if a bigger team goes through I don't mind as long as they deserve to. A good match is also nice to watch.

I like a bit of both. I want to see the big sides colliding, like Portugal vs Holland and France vs Spain in the next round, but also some of the less fancied nations, like Ghana and Australia do well and cause a few upsets.

The balance in this World Cup has been good. A few surprise teams, but a couple of mouthwatering clashes between some of the powerhouses to look forward to.

I wanted Zidane & France to go through...I felt sorry for Ivory Coast mainly because I think they were the best African team IMO and if they had a different group I think they would have definetely progressed.

I just like all round entertainment. Ive really enjoyed watching teams like Ivory Coast, Ghana and the likes. Still shocked that the Czechs are out but Ghana well deserved it.
