up till last night (man u vs Roma first leg) he had no goals in 30 UCL and England competitive games combined. I think he is average as a goal scorer. AT BEST

I think he is about right. He's not the most clinical of strikers on the game but he is incredibly versatile. As in real life I guess.

Pretty much agree with Aaronarid there (When he's on form he really does play well). If this is for PES6/PES5 then please post in the correct section!

Dude sorry but my opinion to that is "Bollocks". I mean, when he is on form he is mostly one of the guys on the scoresheet. But when he's off form, he doesn't seem clinical in front of goal.

Well, what i said wasnt mere opinion. It was fact. Another fact is that - he may have 17 goals, but they tend to come in 2's or 3's and he has only scored in 9 games all season. I dont even look upon him as a striker.

Strikers are rated on goals and he dont score enough or regularly so for me he is an average striker.

He can play as a striker but his main role is to be a support striker.

Yeah, thats fair. I understand that he is a good player, i just don't agree that he is a good striker. Sure, he can score goals, but the stats show he doesnt score enough overall and certainly not enough for england or man u in europe.

Your saying this because he's not prolific but, most second strikers aren't prolific.

Yeah your right. I was responding to this thread as someone said Rooney was underrated on the game. I think he is not. The good thing about Rooney, is his vision and passing, the trouble with the stats on PES is that you cannot change the stats enough to make Rooney realistic.
